No question...STI is the way to go.

I wish they would come out with another STi wagon, that would seem fairly easy to live with. Thing I hated about my Evo X was the useless trunk.

I am totally biased, I had a built 08 sti hatch. Get a used sti hatch, worst case scenario, a oem shortblock is 3k. The trannys are basically bulletproof. You'd have a great all season car that has a ton of utility that can fit 4 comfortably. I definitely plan on getting another sti in the future but this time, stage 2 e85 will be it. I went a little too far with mine haha.

Yeah, I think if I could do it all over again, I think I would have gotten a GR STi wagon rather than my Evo X. But then, I probably might not have a Camaro right now if I went that route.

Yeah the GR Hatchback STI is one of my favorites as well. Not sure if I could step back a few years in terms of convenience features and be happy.

Oh and HUGE NEWS...my job situation is now solidified! I won't have to get rid of the Camaro. Will live in an area that will be just fine with my rolling monument of "murica".

Aside from the practicality the cars listed have...I like to look at slightly modded LT models of the gen 6 camaro as being in a class pretty damn close to those cars. Realistically the 1LT RS 2.0T is more in a class with focus ST and WRX though.

It's a toss up between the STI and GTI/R .

Both beautiful cars but I bet the interior and tech is more up to date in the R .

Meh, I've got very little issue with stepping backwards in terms of technology and convenience. After I bought my Camaro last year, I bought a 2004 GMC Canyon SLE, extended cab, 5-speed with the 5-cylinder to replace my 2002 Mazda B-series. Only thing I did to "update" the Canyon was buy a Bluetooth speaker so I could listen to music without replacing the head unit.

BTW, my Mazda had crank windows and no AC.

I'd take an Evo 8 before any car on the poll :/ but if it has to be from the most recent, an STI would be best for me. Those things hold their value like crazy.

I guess I would go with a WRX myself or perhaps the Ford, but Subaru really needs to update the WRX both aesthetically and technologically, it seems dated.

STi/WRX all day. I have a WRX I DD for 9 years. Car has 334k miles now and still runs great. Smart mods and smart driver they last forever. Also by far the easiest to work on. Setup similar to RWD. And they sound the best of that group.
