Hi guys,
I sent an e-mail today to GM social media to ask for any info they may have on these Hand-built Corvette Z06 LT4's built at the Performance Build Center in Bowling Green Kentucky that are finding they're way into production lines of 2020 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1's. I doubt i will receive a clear precise answer about it... but if i don't try we'll never find out. I try to scan the classifieds once in awhile to try to uncover more of these ZL1's with PBC built LT4's... but its not easy. Most ads do not show a picture of the engine, so i am unable to confirm it. If any of you guys see some out there on the GM dealer lots let me know... but try to take pics for positive I.D. Take care, Andrew |

Thank you |

"FoundNemo"... you have an engine builder plaque on your 2019? ...very interesting
Can you post a pic of the engine bay so we can confirm this please. And do you per-chance have your build date in which your car was produced? Thanks for responding buddy |

Curious where there not some slight differences in the super charges for the Z06 and ZL1? I could be wrong but I thought I saw something on YouTube that detailed the slight engine/super charger differences at one time.
Assuming these were Z06 Engines that made their way into ZL1s. |

I also saw that video Snakebt6... , but then why are these "plaqued engines" built at Bowling Green KY finding they're ways into Camaro ZL1's then?
It doesn't make sense. Videos i found on youtube show the engine builders add the plaque to the engine they built at the end, once the engine is completed... so i don't think its just the supercharger cooling line with a plaque on it that's added to a Tonnawanda built engine. Maybe they modified the Corvette superchargers after awhile to be similar to the Camaro's. Remember... some Corvette Z06's had an overheating problem. |
