Keep in mind... the upper and lower hoops will be one piece, no seams, and they will pass through the face of the vertical rec.tube.
This is a balancing act for sure. Trying to balance the weight, with cost, and aero. The image below, would be the only additional bracing that would not block the lower oil cooler, or interfere with the current air deflectors... this would add another 2lbs and approx. $250 +/- to the cost... Perhaps I can make this addition optional. Who else wants to be on the list for one of the first batch?

Love the idea, I actually removed the plastic cover infront of the crash bar because I hated the look. Your design is super clean. Only thing I have in mind that has me thinking is our front end is leaf vacuum and rock magnet. I don't drive to much in the street but my rad and cooler fins are all bent from rocks and pebbles hitting them. Without the oem crash bar lots more air but more prone to a pin hole happening.

I agree, seen the mesh on some cars also, and hate the look, but understand the logic, for those who choose too. With my custom crash bar, you would have a great mounting structure to spread some mesh from one side to the other for those who desire that extra level of protection and look.
