I wouldn't mind a HC Charger as a daily driver though. As has been said an overpowered couch! LOL Fun.

And that's what happens in the real world, sure it would have run a better # if let cooled and iced down, but so would the ZL1. Heat soak on the street is the way of life, not a hero run in the perfect conditions.

Only on the real track. Sorry, with sticky tires on both cars the ZL1 gets it's ass handed to it by the much heavier Demon.

M4 commente
So confession time...I am a BMW convert. I had an F10 M5 with a tune that I daily drove...until I decided I was done with the compromise. During my search for the weekend car I thought about and drove an M4. I absolutely HATED the car. Both the Shelby and the ZL1 were miles ahead in about every aspect. Its sounds like crap, can't put power down and rides as though there is no suspension at all! That might be OK of they had the performance to back it up...but they don't. In the spirit of full confession, I do daily drive an '18 5 series. It's got 9K miles and has spent 4 weeks in the shop, but that's another story for a different forum

I don't think heat soak was much of a factor here based on trap speeds. Looks more like traction/launch. If we saw a full time slip, I'm willing to bet the 60' for the Hellcat was over 2 seconds. |

It was a wide body with more rubber to help the car 60ft better, I would like to see the 60ft times on both cars myself.

I own both cars.
It's somewhat silly to compare them, they are not meant to be compared. ZL1 is no where near as much fun as the Hellcat in stop light to stop light/around town driving. The hellcat snaps your neck back EVERY TIME you stomp on the gas, ZL1 doesn't do that. ZL1 will make you giggle in the turns like a school girl at a Backstreet Boys Concert. Hellcat can't do that, Hellcat feels like wrestling with a bear in the turns.

You can't be serious. The Demon is a cool car, but it was literally built for drag racing, costs $90k msrp, and has 200hp over a ZL1. Plus, the average demon owner won't break 10's. The one I saw at my local track was running mid 11's. That's not handing anything to a ZL1.
