Can anyone tell if the 6th gen is smaller than the 5th gen based off these pictures?

I agree. along with those tail lights.. As far as that front grill. I believe that its being covered up. To much to still tell yet, weather fake panels are being put in place. Remember when the black camo was on that we all thought the left and right hood extractors? from here, doesn't appear to be the case. And again, no video. next time guy, bring a friend along! |

Looks too much like the fifth gen but there is still a lot to be seen. The trans am front grill appears to be the same grill that was hidden under the padding in the other spy shots. The overall shape is pretty much revealed unless these panels are all fake. Roofline and silhouette has 5th gen written all over it. Not sure that's a good thing. Wheels look great and continue the tradition of superior looking stock wheels for the Camaro.

Still hard to tell anything... but from what I see, this should make everyone happy.. it appears to be a slightly evolved 5 gen.. I wanted them to pay homage to the 2nd or 3rd gen, alot people didnt want that... So its a safe move for GM..

"I will give GM credit for one thing... at least they are staying RELATIVELY true to the body styling"
---------------- I agree even though it is going to be completely new, I like that they kept it looking like the current one enough that you can tell it's a Camaro and didn't start over on the looks. ----------------

The roundness of the hood opening and muffler looks bad. IDK about that grill man, I really dont like it at this moment... I hope that split is not a split but just an emblem being covered up, that split will make it look like a Pontiac which I DO NOT WANT!
I cant really say anything else yet, cant wait til they fully reveal it. Just saying tho, from what I see so far it looks a little import-y.. like the new Mustangs.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. We'll see if this approach works out for them. But, yeah, you're right. Hard to cast this as anything other than an evolution of the 5th gen. This finally and totally puts to bed any fantasies anyone had about a 2nd/3rd gen revival. Clearly, that ain't happening. At all.

Why would they move the gas cap into the rear seat area instead of inside the trunk?

This looks promising, BUT it really really depends on how those headlights and tail lights turn out, obviously camouflaged and not of the true shape. But I am liking this so far!
