I don't understand why they don't want to fix it either. I'm pretty sure you dropped it off stock. All your stuff is plug & play right?

Pure speculation, but maybe the 85mph limit is the result of some sort of tamper detection in the car. Dealer sees a code that makes him think it wouldn't be covered by warranty.
Not saying you guys did... but it would suck if this is a "false positive" and you're getting blamed for something you didn't do. Does the dealer know you do the HMI mod stuff?

Why? i pissed them off, for this car that is not wright, they don't like to loss, they want to reprogram the HMI (radio and BCM ) on my dime, In short they dont know why the car is doing what its doing.
On the HMI and BCM we are working with the low speed bus only, not the hi speed side, so we know this will not make a car only go only 85MPH, we do this on all GM cars and never had this happen, when the dealer tells me you cant change radios on cars. |

Not saying you did anything wrong, at all.
Just wondering why they might be giving you this much trouble. Maybe they're already predisposed to thinking it must've been something you did, whether you did or not.

Why are they refusing to fix a brand new car? Did they out right tell you that what you did caused the issue? They are required to prove that to you before they can refuse warranty work. I can see why the dimples have put you over the edge. That's just one more flaw with a car that you really can't use as intended.

I experienced this poor service issue with my Tahoe. Dealership said they could not fix my problem and stated that GM told them to have me turn up the radio so I did not have to listen to the loud humming it made. They sent me on my way. I decided to take it to another dealer and the service manager there successfully got GM involved and ultimately replaced the rear axle housing.

Go to another dealer. There are dealers all over the Valley. Some are a lot easier to deal with than others.

I have worked for a few dealers and usually this happens when a person is being a dick or the shop manager is a dick. I would go to a different shop. Remember every dealer is independent and wants warranty work as it is income as well.
On a side note I would have to assume they are telling you why they refuse the warranty. |

So this dealer wants to deny investigating and fixing this because of changes to the radio? What did you change?

Was it working before you started screwing around with programming shit? If so then you caused the issue and GM is right to make you pay to fix it. If not then GM is wrong to deny. Not hard to understand.
