Did a 500 mile round trip last week that netted an average of 28.5mpg with 68mph average speed (mostly highway around 75, but some city) and a 50 mile best stretch of 32.5

My sierra gets about 26mpg with the cruise set on 70mph. Subtract 2k lbs total, 200lbs in drivetrain, and half the frontal area......you’d think the camaro would do a little better.

I have a lead foot, I get about 11mpg city with the truck, 23mpg highway average. With the camaro that I rented those numbers were like 12mpg and 25mpg. Just crazy how bad the camaro is in comparison.
12 is ridiculous, it's rated 16 city and it's not hard to get 18 if you're not doing a burnout at every light.

High 20s on the highway is also pretty normal.

I have a lifetime ~20 mpg average with lots of spirited mountain driving and autocross days. For a 455 hp/3700 lb car that's excellent imo.

Either you aren't driving them the same way and thus not comparing apples to apples, or you rented a dud.

My 2SS currently does ~17 city and ~26 highway even after adding the supercharger, in grandma "mode" of course (that is, speed limit +/- 5 in center/right lane). One of my kids is afraid of fast acceleration and braking, so I do see these numbers time and again.

When driving properly, however, it's more like 10-12 mpg no matter if city or highway.

Ah! Thanks for that. On mine, it wants me to "upgrade" and pay extra money for that stuff, so I'll give it a pass.

This is what I've captured right now. Guess I'm doing more grandma than proper driving, gonna have to fix that.

That seems pretty high for a surcharged car. But you do have an auto.
Mine is 15.2 life time but I've been on E85 for a while, so I figure I'm at what would be 19-20 lifetime on 91.
