I noticed a weird thing yesterday when I was at the Ridge (RMP) event.
I used the Drive Mode : Track and with all nannies off as I did before. As soon as I hit the "Define Finish Line" and hit "Record video" in the PDR menu it somehow enabled the TC and SC. I noticed that when I saw the skid mark light on the dash and it's also visible in the video below. The nannies were definitely active and car didn't want to accelerate on certain corners because of that. Did it ever happen to anyone else or it's just me? At the end of the video you will see me slowing down and let the others cars go

Cem, any possibility you somehow managed to press TC button? That would bring all nannies back.
FYI to all: I've updated my OP per the new (clarified) findings, incl extra modes to make the post complete. |

Hmm I think you're right, I've looked at the Go Pro angle and it looks like my left hand is very close to one of those cruise control buttons. The fact that it immediately happens after I hit the start recording on the PDR screen made me think it might be related. I will pay more attention to the CC buttons from now on , thanks nope, not the case

Absolutely agree!
Albeit Comp Mode and PTM Mode are apples and oranges |

So just a few quick questions: Best setting for donuts? (Closed warehouse honning) Best setting for drag? Best setting for auto X/road course? |

There are too many variables, like your driving skills, to make generalizations like that for each.

SS 1LE said it best.
It all depends on your skill, appetite for risk, etc. It is impossible to give generic advice here. The only thing I'd say to try to help you is this: 1) if you turn all nannies off it is ALL up to your talent 2) if you use Comp Mode, stability control will be there to assist if you get out of shape, but you'll have access to full power and no traction control so watch your right foot. 3) if you pick PTM Sport 1 you will have stability control as above PLUS traction control which will "manage" power delivery on exits - this setting is likely quite safe (in theory). 4) PTM Sport 2 and Race are like the one above but with progressively more power BUT you lose stability control - so these are more advanced.. Bottom line, it is up to you based on your skill etc. See what suites you best. Test them out in a safe environment and then decide. Nobody can do it on your behalf. Cheers! |

Thanks it makes sense... i tried turning all nannies off but no luck. I keep the button pressed for 5+ secs and all i see is the TC light come on. Another question can i turn off all nannies on any mode? Ornwould it have to be in track?

Is there a noticeable difference between all nannies off and track mode PTM: Race? Until I came across this thread I thought I was driving with all nannies off in track/PTM race because when you scroll down to race it says active handling off.
