Track prep was deplorable! No traction from start to well past 1/8 mile.
Couldn't get low 11's at track like I've already done on street.
Cross-winds were trying to blow me off-track.

CW, that's a great improvement but to 660' is just killing you. Still way better then the first time out. Welcome to the 11's sir. Its making hp as you can see with the almost 125 mph pass and 97 in the 1/8.

Thank you. If you read through the post about this track day, you'll see how bad it was there. Not making excuses but it was difficult to adjust to those conditions. Maybe a more seasoned racer could have done better but everyone was spinning on the big end - even long time track veterans. When I find a better track I guarantee my 60' and 660' will be significantly better. 6th Gen ZL1 M6 Broke into 11's at track

Upper 40's are not good condition, track temps would be much better in the 70's. I'm sure they didn't prep the track. My best run of 11.71 was sunny, temps in the upper 50's to around 60. Our track was prepped pretty good since we had some 7 second cars there that day. Have you tried slipping the clutch just a little when launching.

Thanks for joining the discussion. In the beginning it was in the low 40s so I opted to use Custom Launch control, setting RPM = 3800 to 3600 / Wheel slip = 11.5 to 9.5. The lower settings did best for me. Then I started slipping regardless of Custom Launch settings so I made a few passes using manual launch - yes, manually slipping the clutch. That turned out to be even worse so I went back to Custom automated launch control. Regardless of custom wheel slip or manual clutch feathering, my results were inconsistent for the rest of the day but more controllable using custom launch. The amount and track location of wheel slip would vary from one pass to the next, even with launch parameters unchanged. I guess I was simply unable to adjust on the fly to the changing conditions. I need more stable, favorable atmospheric conditions and known-good track conditions to even evaluate my technique. Otherwise I don't have reliable data with which to compare.

I'm not sure what "trick" you're talking about.
