I much rather buy a used car with low miles, my last NEW car was in 2013 and it's going to stay that way
I agree the ZL1 being a great price for the car, that's pretty obvious and yea there is obviously a price difference but does it have to be beaten to the ground like it is in this thread. The way it's talk about you would think people JUST found out what the GT500 costs.

Compare the cars and accept the results, they are just cars!
You have people in this thread that have never been to a road course talking about racing on tracks...
Makes me think of when people bring up the nerdburgring as if they are EVER GOING TO GO THERE!! lol
You know what I like? "WHAT DOES YOUR CAR RUN??" that's it... it's all great quoting magazines from sofa's behind computers but it gets corny fast in real life.
What have your cars run?

Funny you pull the magazine racer line the M6G guys love to say, but don’t have a ZL1/ZLE or GT500 (unless your car list isn’t up to date) so all you can do is quote magazine times as well from your sofa/computer.

Just because you don’t buy new doesn’t make the current market prices of the cars being discussed and their price to performance dollar a non topic. You do the same thing just in the used market.

When did I ever quote any magazine times?

I'd like to see a road course test but I'm starting to think we never will. But truth be told if the GT500 was 5 seconds faster it wouldn't change my mind about it at all. I wont buy one. The car isn't reasonably available for one thing. Secondly I refuse to pay 75k+ for a Mustang. They aren't special enough to me

I don't mod my cars too much, local track is gone now too.

So we’ll count you out on any road course commentary then? You’ll stick to modded cars on preped surfaces?

Because for most people who actually want to buy these cars, price is one of the most important factors. Its value for your dollar, and $25k is nothing to scoff at. It could potentially put it out of your price range.
I completely agree with you however with the end of your statement, what a car does in a magazine and what it does in your hands are 2 completely different stories. Also there could be plenty of keyboard warriors who either dont have the car, or never drive it regardless of on the track or street. But they will go down in flames arguing magazine statistics about it.
YES the 500 MSRP's at $74k, but nobodies getting them at MSRP.
YES the 500 is a 10.6 1/4 mile car, but that's only on a prepped surface.
I agree with Blaq, the buts are starting to stack up and not in a good way.

That is correct, you won't see me giving any road course advice.

Correct. You’re here to troll Blaq.

How about another M6G favorite saying?

Bring out the “ban hammer!”

That’s why it is useless to talk to people like you. I never brought up magazine times to you. I quoted you about a completely different topic, which you ignored to bring up/start this weird diatribe.

You buy used cars and don’t quote magazine times. Good for you, why even bother posting in this thread at all then?
