That being said, I love superchargers, but at the rate of change we've been seeing in Scott's car, seems like the most logical choice would be twins. Higher efficiency, less overall strain on the crank and certainly greater potential reliability and behavior at the stated power levels and beyond. (We know beyond won't be long after) Besides I need some fresh reading at Scott's expense

Gabe I have no practical experience with this platform, it's the one and only car I haven't modded. Unfortunately, my car has been in a permanent state of hibernation as I've been working around the clock in Texas. It's a catch 22 situation.... Currently living vicariously through everyone's mods.

Update: BIG NEWS !!!!!! After a lot of back and forth with Mike at Katech, 5 months worth and probably 6 different build quotes. And many, many conversations and texts back and forth with Gabe (SOCAL.M6.ZLE) and Chuck (radz28) (I really appreciate your input). I've decided to move forward with my next (I hope final) build!

I'll be taking my ZL1 up to Katech toward the end of October or first weekend of November for the next and I hope final build chapter for my car! The target is 900rwhp+ for this build. The build will not include a Maggie, and that's my choice, and not from Mike's recommendation.

So, this build is around NO 2650 and keeping my existing X-ported factory blower. Also, we are keeping my current Katech drop in dual fuel pump and my THPSI Port injection etc. I'm pretty excited about this build and know this will give me the ultimate car built the way I want it to be. I really don't daily my car at all, and with me simply driving it to Car's and Coffee, car shows events and the drag strip. I figured how can I be missing CAM CHOP and exhaust cut-outs (Good idea Gabe )!

I can always add the Maggie later if I feel I want more rwhp. This build will be a huge chance for my car, big choppy cam since we are using the Katech Track Day CAM. I know how enthusiastic I've been on my post about "my motors never been opened". But, the more I thought about it, at this point by doing this build, it will give me the a better weekend worrier car for the drag strip!

I hope Katech_Mike here on the forum reads this post: Mike, I know you'll surprise me with a build video, even if it's just the highlight reel! At minimum, take a zillion photos of the build!

Nice! Very excited for you! That will be a great build. I really liked the specs of that particular cam, too.

I also might have a set of cutouts on the shelf in my garage... don't tell anyone. I thought that would be the best option- full silent stealth mode, full open NPP mode, then full nutso mode bypassing the muffler.

EDIT: So tell us more about the build. I assume the heads are getting the CNC job while they are off the engine? I'm guessing this will be a heads/cam/oil pump build with all the supporting valvetrain stuff? Inquiring minds want to know...

Awesome! You and I will have almost the exact same long block. I didn't opt for the valve job and blending on the heads, and I used different valley and timing covers. The other stuff is identical. (Let's hope we both like it.)

Interesting that the aux pump is needed on top of the dual in-tank. I wouldn't have called that one.

Looks like it will be a solid build! The only main differences between yours and mine when we are both finished will be the blower and PI vs DI fueling, I think. I'm guessing you'll hit about 950 and I'm hoping I'll hit about 1050.
