Update for my bolt-on entry, car is an A8. Went to Atco Dragway and met a couple of other Camaro6 members there. I was testing flex fuel with e85. My conclusion is, it helps pretty noticeably, unlike some of the other bolt-ons I've tried (such as the manifold which doesn't help my car). Weight reduction was removal of passenger seat, upper rear seat, and flat piece in the trunk. That last item was to give more swing room to stuff a drag radial in the trunk for the long trip to Jersey, doesn't really have any heft to it. The 'tune' is basically enabling the flex fuel sensor, the car is not properly tuned at this time.

Nice. What were your previous times and who ported your intake manifold?

PRAY, it ran 11.81 on 93 gasoline before, in cooler weather than it was in yesterday. The manifold is an MSD Airforce, not ported. It does not seem to help my car (2017 A8) on the dragstrip.

Thanks, I unfortunately expected the MSD to not show much if anything at the track with an A8 car. With all the low end and mid range loss I didn't see it make it up on the top end. Especially on a basically stock tune. How much MPH did you gain with the E85. That is the only real way to gage HP gains as long as the 60fts are close to the same.

Good pass wnta1SS and that's the first solid results that I've seen using e85. Your 1.67 60' time is VERY exciting to see. Was your tune only to enable the corn or does it include limiting torque management too ?
I read on Facebook that Atco had a bomb threat and closed early, I don't know if you got enough passes in but they would have honored your ticket for today also. If you are from New Hampshire then I say kudos to you for making the trip and you could have crashed at my house to make more runs and dip into the 11.5's.

So the only difference is the e85? Everything else is the same from the 11.81 pass? That's a decent pickup especially the mph. I went 11.71 with just CAI and Drag Pack. So, the future is bright for my up coming mods, Ported intake, tb, e85. Plus a tune later

laynlo15, I'd call the mph gain that I got about 3~4, while acknowledging that it was a different track than I normally run on.

It was an awesome gain. Did you try holding it in 4th?

Mine shuts off at about 120-121. But it affects my et by about 2-3/100s but my mph is up 2-3 mph when I keep it in 4th. When we tune we'll move up the mph/rpm and I think I can run over 122-123 in good conditions. I think its my slicks that let the center grow where the drag radial stays flat going down track. My goal is to be the first NA car to run 125.

It may be semantics but GTKLRSS has ran 125+ NA already.
You and I (with my 305/35/20 DR) are at the limit of 120-121 mph on 6500 rpm. Raising the rev limiter to 6700+ with get you through the traps in 4th gear to 125 possibly but in my opinion you are too far over the power band that it may be beneficial to just shift into 5th. JFMjr did the math (which I double checked and he is correct) on my thread and discovered that "in my case only" holding onto the gear netted .037 in ET but gained 2 mph (I've been meaning to comment on that and forgot).
