You're welcome.
Unfortunately, no, we do not have a video for Part # 60609. Please note that this product is a racing product and is not street legal.

Borla Team - great job on the videos!!! Wish more exhaust companies would do what you guys did with the outside and inside sound clips and comparisons so you can hear the exhaust note and get an idea about drone.

Just installed the S-Type w/ NPP and it sounds awesome, just loud enough in track mode, and quiet enough for daily driving w/ the valves closed and best of all absolutely ZERO DRONE. I'm installing the full mid-pipes w/ x-pipe set up that have the AFM valves next!!!

You will love the full X-pipe. My car sounds amazing and ZERO DRONE. I have the full 60609 secondary cat delete and the NPP 11924 S-type. Loud as hell in track mode, quiet as can be in tour.

I actually went with the 60610 system to compliment my NPP 11924 S-type which just goes up to the secondary cats, didn't wanna risk deleting them bc they test emissions every 2 yrs in VA so it's not worth the trouble for me at least.

Borla told me I wouldn't really notice the system get much louder with the 60610 system (maybe a little) but that I'd see better performance bc of the X-pipe set up and because of the increased flow from getting rid of the crushed section of the stock pipe. After this install I may do the intake and then get it tuned so between those mods hopefully I'll get some decent gains. I mean I wouldn't complain if this set up did make it louder though especially since you confirmed that there's no drone!

Lisa - would you please provide me with the Borla part number for the S series axle-back system (with NPP)?

Thank you,
Rich

I did the 60609 for the sound and we have no inspections in FL. The X pipe isn't going to add volume, but there is a reason the xpipe is built the way it is on the Borla system vs the OEM. The OEM is a stamped x pipe where the paths kind of collide into eachother. The Borla X pipe and proper Xpipes just touch the streams together in the middle while maintaining their own paths. This changes the exhaust tone and improves HP. You may not notice much improvement on a stock LT1. But when you get into the 600-700 HP arena you can see difference on the dyno with a correctly designed X.

If you mean S-Type (The middle loudest one) it's 11924, this is the one I have on my car right now, Borla S-Type Axle-back w/NPP.

Here's the link:

Makes sense, I'm glad the X-Pipe design is better and how this will get rid of that crushed section of the stock pipe just before the mufflers! Not really expecting hp gains, just want to clean up how it looks under there and with some other future mods and a tune this system should compliment the other parts with getting some gains further down the road.

No problem! These two youtube videos will describe the sound better than I can with words. Borla did a great job putting these together! I personally don't have a videos yet, but after I install their mid-pipes (60610) I'll post some videos.

The S-Type is louder than the stock NPP but still manageable when the valves are closed especially if you are just cruising. In track mode it sounds great. If you want even louder you can try for the Attack which is the loudest one they make.
