Basically they are the same thing. Some might disagree on the finer points but God in essence is a described as a higher being watching over us and guiding our outcome. The names used by different religions are interchangable.

this is a topic that has been argued for hundreds if not thousands of years. there have been proofs in the past in the form of absolute miracles and even then people did not believe the prophets of god. so what makes you think that me or anyone else on this forum who is not a prophet of god will be able to prove it to you? if your just interested in the points of view then check out the arguments for god such as the argument of design.
