Same time those same hard sell rich kids were in Lambos and Audi R8’s. It’s the same crowd, though not the Camaro crowd.

Yet the 5th gen ACR is still coveted, and the ACR Extreme even more so, and thats because it was the last Viper of its kind, crazy aero, suspension and performance that set it apart from other Vipers.

The ZLE is also the last of its kind and its more than just a Camaro with an LT4.

There is nothing special to me about a mass produced car like the C8 Z06 to feverishly plunk down 100k ADM on.
They are going to make 10's of thousands for years.

Many paid ADM's for basic C8 Stingrays and also the C7 Z06.
I think thats more a barometer of wanting to be first and having the disposable income to do so, more than future value.

Of course we are all just spitballing here...lol
It’s funny because the V10 was the most distinguishing characteristic of the Viper, and in terms of sound I absolutely hated the way they sounded stock. That odd fire arrangement sucked, but man do they respond to modding.

not to long ago in 2015 they made a Z28 and no one would buy them even when they discounted them heavily but today they are sought after fast forward to today and the 1le has very low production numbers and Chevrolet Zl1-1LE is no longer produced. Any one that wanted one of these waited a very very long time to get and some never had there order not fulfilled. It has already started with the 2023 ZL1-1LE price on used ones way past MSRP.

Well there is your data point. Yikes

Stop it, you're going to hurt the 1LE owners/collectors feelings with facts.

I’d say he did pretty good on it. He drove it 16,000 miles and probably got as much for it as he paid.

A passed around, 2020 automatic, with 17k miles of hard canyon abuse, performance modded with several exterior and interior cosmetic issues, is now the barometer for future value of a ZLE?

And it also carries the following disclaimer: Due to the modifications, this car may not pass emissions testing in some states. It's the buyer's responsibility to check whether this car can be registered in their home state prior to placing a bid.

Lol...C'mon...

Yeah, he did well with the bid he got for sure.

driving a ZLE in the canyons is abusing it? Really?

It had an intake, how long would it take to swap that for emissions inspection?

It's abused to a collector...yes....

And if it's a California car why wouldn't it pass emissions in every other state?

What isn't he telling you?

unless it has a C.A.R.B. EO# an intake will fail you in California.

If it can't be driven to retain some hypothetical future value, it's no longer a car but an objet d'art... and I'm no longer sure camaro6.com is the best venue for discussing it (because it has turned into a museum piece, doesn't really matter what it was before, a car, a painting, a sculpture or maybe a gemstone).

If you ever read the label on any product you have ever bought, Everything you buy has a California warning. Even if it’s sold in Canada it’s hilarious. I learned you do not buy coloured toilet paper without a warning.

This particular ZLE is not getting top dollar is what I am saying...and few collectors would be interested when you have original owner garage queen 2018's in better shape with way lower miles.

..and I still think he did well with it.

It seems like a reasonable price from the before times.

I think the seller was expecting more.
His description of the sale:

"Major come up sac11. Deal of the year. Holly crap."
