If the strike kills my chance at getting one of the last real cars the world will ever make, I'm done considering anything designed or made by any of these folks.

They don't carry that deep of an inventory and neither do the vendors.

I'm plenty relaxed, it's just a personal decision I'll be making. I'm sure they won't miss my business but to he|| with the brinkmanship, I don't need it and won't reward it.

I think that it may be a good idea for anyone that has an order in for a '24 to start looking for a '23 that is already built that's close to what you want. At this point your '24 may or may not be built. Good luck everyone.

for the limited qty they are building, between the supplier and on hand in Lansing, I would bet 90% + of the inventory is already made, especially anything Camaro specific. Supplier will build all Camaro specific items in batch with a low volume

All OEM's are going to be hit with this. You can't blame GM if the strike goes so long that it causes manufacturing alterations. I don't believe they will cut the Camaro, knowing it's the end of a legacy

Some of those things will suffer the exact same fate unless people start saying no when it's still about just a sports car. If you don't care and act when you start losing the fringes, you eventually lose the core.

I agree with this. I don’t believe in the statements that GM doesn’t care about the Camaro. I think they really do, or they wouldn’t have given us a collectors edition, allocating to build more V8s, or even announced the car is going away for a while.

They can on Lu do what they can do with a car that’s nearly a decade old.

No matter how long the strike lasts, GM will extend the production of 2024 Camaros to compensate because it can’t afford to scrap the millions of dollars in raw materials and Camaro-specific parts it has in storage. The name of the game will be, “Empty the Shelves, Boys and Girls.”

If I still had a 2024 on order (got my full deposit back today), I’d be far more worried about the quality of the cars that are produced right after the end of the strike.

Tinfoil hat on - I wonder if the 2024 shortened production run could have been just planning for / in anticipation of a strike.

Extra foil - more time for those ZLE wings to get made.
