It was stupid look (and really a matter of the salesman doing his job) that I was even able to secure one. I had inquired on a sharkskin A10 ZL1. Wrong color and wrong transmission for me, but I probably would've taken it. Its only a few hours away and the dealer is no BS. Anyway, he replied that the car was already sold prior to landing (again as with most), but he had another ZL1 that was just accepted for production and is scheduled to be built next month. Black with the 6 speed. Again, the color isn't my first choice but the 6 speed can be difficult to find. That car was ONLY available because it really isn't advertised yet, since it was just accepted for production. I thought it over for a couple of days and I reserved it. I didn't want to risk losing it.

Are you able to reserve the car?

I haven't tried. I keep going back and forth between trading in my current one and keeping it.
If I found a red ZL1 1 LE at a reasonable price I would have to pull the trigger, but I'm stuck on deciding between a 455 hp 1LE and a 650 hp non 1LE. I may be crazy, but color matters a lot as well. Hard to choose. |

I would upgrade to a ZL1 if you can find the color and options you want Wyzz Kydd! Don’t think you will have any regrets!

I’m holding off until next year. If I can find a 2024 ZL1 1LE in red hot at a decent price I’ll buy it. I’m more likely to find a unicorn, but who knows.
If not, I’m thinking a BMW M2 Competition might be fun. |

Absolute power corrupts, absolutely! I honestly don't think I could live with a stock ZL1, let alone a stock LT1 powered car. Until I drove a stock ZL1, I had considered picking up a new one before the window of opportunity closes. The stock ZL1 felt like an utter dog compared to my current car, which I fully understand is nothing special in today's world.

Looks aside, the new m2 competition will definitely be an upgrade over your SS 1le and the power will be more usable on the street than a zle.

I wish tire technology advanced just a bit quicker, though. I don't want to have to resort to funky drag tires or monster truck whiners or killers on wet pavement to launch, but those seem to be the only choices for RWD cars... okay, I still have to try the Nitto 555RII, that's the one last vestige of hope.
