Katech is the farthest thing from a "scam shop", if customers don't want to pay their prices, they are free to go elsewhere. There is a lot of scamming going on in today's world but this shop ain't part of it, you have no idea what you're talking about. Have you ever been to their shop? Ever sat down and actually spoken with Mike or Zach? Ever spoken with their satisfied customers? Or just the one random guy on the internet whos friend wasn't happy, even though he got exactly what he was told he would get with that package!

I can speak on personal experience that Katech will not bull$hit you about what you're going to get when you pick/build a package with them. I spent months researching shops and build options for my ZL1 and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that I got EXACTLY what I was told I would get.

An extremely fast, reliable and very well built ZL1.... oh yeah and a warranty.

And no those are very similar packages with the exception that SCAMTECH is porting the heads. Is that worth another $10k??? LOL hell no.
ZL1Atlanta is actually an extremely respected member of the Camaro community and has what I believe is the fastest 6th gen ZL1 in the world with a 10 speed... He also is from a respected competitors shop that does great work as well.

Moral of the story: Larger, more respected shops are always going to cost more than the DIY'ers and the smaller shops. Either route is fine as long as you are comfortable with what you pay for. You aren't comfortable paying for premium shop work, and that is completely okay.

Hope you have a happy holiday!

LOL, I had never heard the term nut swinger before today. If it means that I rely on shops to do my work, then I am one. I no longer have a shop, or lift, and sold 90% of my tools.

But here's a car I owned, built, and drove (2006-2011) before I became a nut swinger. Of course, you wouldn't know much about 6.50/210+ cars.

My son in the red hat in top pic. (looking for another better pic)

This turned into a Thread , with no learning content , about Performance Modifications to LT4s . 83 rwhp , for 10 k , as Ktech guys were saying you can go to other shops , I feel for Oilfield in his Thread in 6th Gen general forum " Avoid this place" if haven't read go to his Thread ,he is or his car got messed up by a bad shop and the cost to redo what they did way more that 10k. I'm here to learn about our cars, I'm at the age and downsized to where I will half to find a Professional shop to do the work for me . If that means transport out of state no prob, I will keep doing homework on parts and shops ,when it's time I will consider Ktech .

Not that it matters, but DAMN I am surprised by how rude this community can be to some of the vendors that work hard to serve it. VERY disappointing IMO.
Katech, I would steer clear of trying to explain yourself to haters and people who are generally dis-interested in your brand / products and services or people that don't understand the ins and puts of running a business.
I find your brand to be one of the top in the nation, and i think your reputation speaks for itself, no matter what some butt-hurt people think.
I trust that if you make a mistake, you would fix it. If you are failing to do that, we'll that's a different story. For those who dont like your pricing, I have a simple suggestion.

1. either go with the lowest bidder (good luck) or

2. start your own shop, and get parts and service at cost!

Cheers to modding cars, learning from each other, and hopefully do it in a respectful manner.

I agree, they have given me a lot of good advice over the last 2 and a 1/2 years. And I have also promoted Hennessy Lingenfelter and Vengeance. And probably others.

I would like to also thank Zach and members of Katech for the free information they provide consistently to this forum. I'm another one of the people that read every day for an education. It really bums me out how angry people can be for no reason. The "name calling" and derogatory statements have no place here. I'm also amazed that they have time to spend focusing all that negative energy on someone they've never met. Can't we all lighten up and enjoy the forum?

This post is out of line. Save this crap for Facebook, we don’t need it here.

The vast majority of members are civil. The few that aren't are or will be on my ignore list.
