Some of the 1LE and 2SS options overlap, so you are sort of paying twice for things like HUD, leather seats, MRC, etc.
Does 2SS come with MRC standard? I don't think it does.

No, it's a $1695 option, always has been.

In my opinion that's why the 1LE package is such a good deal for the enthusiast. It includes a bunch of performance upgrades that would otherwise be additional cost options on a standard 1SS/2SS for less money than if you chose them individually. And parts of the 1LE package aren't available on a regular SS like the E-LSD and larger forged wheels. MRC, NPP, FE4, Recaros, 6 pot Brembos are all available options on an SS, but would cost more combined than the 1LE package on a regular SS and would still not include all the 1LE upgrades.

My bad.
I know some of the options do overlap.
Sorry for any confusion.

The 1LE package really should be less for 2SS to be fair.

I went with the M6 1SS 1LE. Like others have said here I didn't see paying an extra $5,000 for the 2SS options. Although I would have liked the rear view mirror camera. I did get the lighted Camaro door seals and racing pedals. As far as the Bose speakers I'm gonna be honest I rarely listen to radio when driving. I like listening to the sound of that V8 and changing gears. Mines not a daily but if it was, I would be fine with the options that I have.

For me its the 2SS.. Thats what i ordered. Id spend 4k just to have the A/C seats lol. I always drive windows down in the summer soo.. I enjoy having the A/C seats. Plus those little extras on a 2SS might make it better for resale if i ever end up selling it down the road.

I like the extra features it comes with. When im spending 70k on a car.. Whats a couple extra Grand to add some features that will make the car more comfy and maybe help with resale?

Just my 2cents

I got the 2SS because I live in the desert. I track in temps from mid 40s to 100+ and the heated/ventilated seats and heated steering wheel help a lot. When I bought my car, no one had a kit to operate the fan or heater grid in the seats so I had to choose a 2SS to get those functions. The memory seats are nice. But of all the other options on the 2SS, imo, the cross traffic warning is the next most useful.

These can be added to 1SS cars with a kit from gen5diy

There is nothing earth shattering, but incremental improvements to driving ease with the sensors, incremental sound quality improvements, incremental comfort improvements, incremental aesthetic improvements with the lighting all add up to a better place to be.

Even if y'all are buying only for the track, those cold early morning sessions with windows down and seat heaters and a heated steering wheel just hit different.

You don’t wear gloves during track days? My hands don’t get cold

I had heard about this kit, but really hadn't looked into it. After looking at the website it appears that Gen5diy has created a nice kit for this retro fit since the fans are already in the seats.

It's a bit ghetto without the nice integrated switches and 3-level LED rows, though.

Yeah, its certainly not as nice a set up as the factory integrated switches, their multiple fan speeds and their location, but it still provides the ability to use the seat fans. I have fans in the front seats of of my daily driver Durango and I only use them on the highest setting, otherwise they don't provide enough air flow for me, so I'm not opposed to only having one setting. And for $200 bucks to have the benefit its not a bad deal. Plus you are getting to utilize a function that is already built into the seat.

I went with the 2SS 1LE. No doubt the 1SS 1LE is the better bang for the buck, but I wanted the camera mirror, stereo, ventilated seats (I’ll never used the heated seats), and memory seats. I love that when I shut the car off that the memory seats can be programmed to automatically move all the way back. I’m tall, so I love the extra room to get in and out.

Also, the 2SS stereo is WAY better than the 1SS version. I guess if you’re an audiophile and want to do a completely aftermarket solution for $2K+ you might do better, but I’m at a stage in my life that I am very happy with the stock 2SS stereo. Try the stereo in a 1SS and 2SS Camaro to compare for yourself.

The blind spot monitors and extra lights are cool too.
