You can get away with 85 on I-35 between DFW and Austin. I'd becareful on I-20 heading out west into the desert though, alot of highway patrol. I got smoked doing 57 in a 35 in Arlington, VA (technically was on 395) - Cop wrote it down as 5-9 mph over or whatever the lowest category is, proactively do a driving school, judge knocks it down to a moving violation (no points, no insurance hit).
Helps that I have no record and no tickets (except aforementioned) in the past decade.

I had a 2012 Dodge Charger with a HEMI V8 as a patrol vehicle for 3 years until they switched to the Ford Explorers in 2015. For sure the fastest patrol car I ever had. Here in Florida FHP drove Ford Mustang LX 5.0's in the late eighties. And then in 2002 the state bought around 200 or so Z28 B4C models for FHP. i don't remember the year, but with a private donation FHP purchased 25-30 Mercury Marauders and left them with whatever factory color they came with.
Are the GSP Camaro's still designated as B4C or are they just regular factory orders? I thought they did away with the police package order. |
