But anyone who tries to tell me I’m doing it wrong will get an argument every time. I know exactly what I’m doing and I’ve said over and over and over….it’s not about the money. It’s about the journey.
I think this is a point easily missed or completely unconsidered many times (including me). It helps you know the confines of what you want to do and how you want to do it. It does help to get certain feedback at times, too, IMHO.

If you don't go down the road of trying, like you are, how are you going to quantify any improvements of a 2650, if there are any for your circumstances. There are probably basics most of us could come to an agreement on as to the benefits of that blower, but you, personally, wouldn't know if you didn't walk the path you're choosing.

KUDOS to you, and it IS fun, to me, to see the power from that 1740. It's not as sheet as probably all of us thought when it first came out.

No one here hates the 2.650L, certainly not me. Even those that hijacked this thread yesterday like the 2.650, they just don't like Hennessey or me or the idea of my changing from the 1.7L to the 2.650L. This has been going on here since late 2020.

In my case, I'm fortunate enough to be able to spend whatever I want to spend on my cars. The amounts of monies that were mentioned on this thread yesterday about, e.g., 1.7L versus 2.65L cost/resale, and monies each of us have spent and might spend on our cars are inconsequential in the big picture.

The good advice that was repeated most often yesterday was, if your past tendency has been to incrementally add increasingly more hp, spend the money up front so you don't have to spend twice. In my case, if I change to 2.65, and because I race at altitude, I might not have to change any other part (high side, inj., etc.) primarily because I did a valve train first. And the resale of my KongX would partially offset the 2.65 costs. But again, this is a nonissue for me.
