I insisted on a PDR for my 2020. Never used it.
Did not want a sunroof. Wished I had it. Not much for opening them up but it sure can brighten up the interior.

I'm pretty convinced I will get a sunroof when I order my ZL1. I open the sunshade in my Grand Cherokee every chance I get, I love how it brightens up the interior. I really like the reverse mohawk, but I dont hate the look of the flat roof. I haven't ordered yet, but that's the direction I am leaning atm.

People will do anything to justify spending too much money on something most will ONLY use as a (really bad) dash camera.

It's truly awful as a dash cam.

I suppose that is true, but why order the CF dash if it is only for looks, why get the 1LE if you arent going to track the car, why get a sports car if you are concerned about speed limits, etc, etc. I searched for a car with PDR because I liked it and wanted it on the car, better have it and not using it than not having it and then wanting it... I just made sure I got a really good price on a car with the specs I wanted. So it didnt hurt the wallet.

Well I mean, no one lives forever, no one. But with advances in modern science and my high level income, it's not crazy to think I can live to be 245, maybe 300.

I have nothing wrong with people hunting down the PDR because they simply want it, even if it doesn't make any damn sense for them. It's your money to waste. Just know: it makes a shit dash camera, and you'd be better served getting a REAL dash camera than trying to use the PDR for something it's not intended for. "Better to have it and not use it, than need it and not have it" is a what...$1300 option for something that could be far better done w/ a quality $200 dash cam? No - if KNOW you aren't tracking, you have wasted money on the PDR if all you intend to use it for is a dash camera or a talking point.

It cant auto-lock files based on an impact. It doesn't (as far as I know) auto-loop over old files that are pointless. The resolution on it is absolute GARBAGE so you won't really be able to read plates. It doesn't just start recording automatically when you start the car, and it sure as hell doesn't record while the car is off (a great feature on any decent dash camera). It doesn't allow you to transfer files to your phone via WiFi if needed. So please don't talk it up as if it's any good at a dash camera - it's not.

The PDR is standard on the C8 with the 2LT. So there is that option.

One reason I ordered w/o sunroof is because the car I drove had one and I felt it robbed space on roof. I did not sit in a non sunroof car, I am 6' w/ long torso and my hair was feathering the roof.
I had a PDR on my 2018 GS and never once used it.

IIRC there isn’t a ton of difference. My hair did the same thing in my non sun roof ZLE. I’m 5’11” and I still had to recline my seat to get my helmet on. But agreed, every little bit helps in these cars where headroom is a premium.

Sunroof kills the lines on the car IMO, I passed up a lot of cars with a roof

If sunroof was an option on the ZLE I would have ordered it. I’m not gonna be a racer every day … it’s nice to relax sometimes and just take it easy and a sunroof is exactly that. My opinion of course.
