There are some dealers that are willing to deal. I had ordered a 2022 ZL1 at a local dealer for msrp but they lied about actually having an allocation. Who did you use for shipping your car? I will be in the same situation soon. My order is from a dealer in Michigan and I'm in Kentucky.

I used Intercity. The price was not much more than open transport and the driver was excellent, he called me several times and let me know what his schedule was and stops he was making before dropping my car off. They cover the car with two covers, a nice indoor cover and then a plastic cover over that. I was really happy with their service.

I bought the car from a dealership in Michigan in the middle of December but they couldn't pick it up until after the 1st of the year(they were wrapping up for the holidays). It was picked up the first Monday of the year and I had it on Thursday.

Did you try my recommendations in the other thread? I listed Interstate (their quote was ok, but Plycar still beat them, and their shipping is enclosed as well)

The drivers own the trucks but the company owns the trailers and schedules the work, If I remember right he said they have like 30 something trucks throughout the country(I asked the driver a ton of questions).

I was also able to track the car with using the "mychevrolet app", kind of over the top but It was accurate and fun to see where it was.

They were about 600-700 less than Reliable transport(another reputable enclosed company)

I bought a truck out of the showroom floor last year and while they did clean up as much as they could, I still found nasty fingerprints in some spots from the disgusting public that made it their duty to get inside and put their greasy fingers in as many places as possible. I think I even had someone else's phone paired to it. I've asked my dealership to not let anyone near my order.

Mine is only going about 430 miles, Reliable quoted me $1186. Hopefully Intercity can beat that.

I've got email quotes coming from all of them, but still don't have a definite date or VIN, so it's not 100% accurate yet.

I hear ya, I was a little nervous dropping 70k on a car that I only had pictures of and had the potential of disgusting things like you listed but thankfully everything worked out.

Coming from someone who used to detail at a dealership, and had to deal with showroom cars: screw buying a showroom car that didn't have a DO NOT TOUCH sign on it. And even then, it's probably still been touched and scuffed all over.

Just recently at a local dealership I saw a lazy salesmen using a ZL1 as a leaning post, and then he was using the trunk lid and spoiler to do paperwork on it.

I'd do it first thing on Monday if you're really antsy. From my EXPERIENCE: Joe's system is 1 day behind. I actually had conflicting status codes a couple of times between my salesmen and Joe, and I finally put thought into it and realized that my salesmen was actually ahead of Joe by 1 day. So if I'm correct, your Thursday look-up only accounted for Monday-Wednesday's builds, and actually left Thursday/Friday out.

I think it's simply the different systems they are using to look up order codes.

Long and short, I think there's a good possibility it's built already.

haha, I don't even like writing on paper on my cherry desk. I saw a used ZL1 in the dealer's showroom when I last went to check on my order. I opened the door from a place where I wouldn't leave fingerprints and the urge to have a seat was there, but I didn't want to scratch the seats or stick my less than clean shoes in the interior. Sadly, there are a lot of people that don't feel the same way.
