I'm hoping on Monday. Not sure how many cars they have in front of me. They do have 2 dynos there though, but its mainly Andrew tuning.

I'm sure it will make a bit more power, but i'm not going for much more here, just consistency. If it performs as good in 90F weather with the chiller like on a 50F day that's all i need. Should pick up a decent amount on 100 though, i don't think they like to push them much past 850 wheel though.

He has to do 93, 93/Ethanol and 100.

At least it wont need to sit and cool down between pulls with the chiller thank god.

Yea, you won't gain much power, its the consistency you gain.

93 and ethanol so far is done. It was able to Do E40 safely. Should have the race fuel tune completed tomorrow.

Picked up quite a bit of power everywhere. My last dyno was 775/735 but it was warmer about 15 degrees and of course no Chiller. I contributed it to my drag radials at the time, but for comparison sake I left them On this time to do an apples to apples comparison.

It’s picked up as much as 60whp, and an average of 35-40 everywhere in the rpm band.

The difference with E you can clearly see at the top which is where of course timing was added.

Best thing. 5 minute cooldown between pulls

Thanks CSP!

BTW this is SAE, it’s about 860 STD on E. Just no case no one read it..

Shouldn't it be at 850 on just 93? Std or not?

Uh what? I didn’t know there was a textbook power to be made. Lol.
It makes 14.5-15lb boost, has 4.5” cats and drag radials on it.

Andrew tunes a bit conservative. I’m sure if I swapped the 90mm pulley it would make more.

Add 3% to 814. It’s close enough to your magical number, I’m more interested in the gains.

I hope you were just being sarcastic.

Everyone I know with a 2650 no matter the brand makes 850 on 93 with cam and heads package. Cats and smaller intake maybe why it's low..

I'm glad it's lower especially for Andrew after he down played the edelbrock when it 1st came out and he did his little comparison video on all 5 blowes with no testing and just used his opinions that the maggi would be best out of all of then including the gm 2650. Nothing against u. But w heads and cam you should be 850s with proper pulley since maggi has the best cooling offered lol.

I don’t see most places making that. You can even look at RPM’s stage 4 zl1 package with the 2650. Theirs made 758 STD on pump. Katechs stage 5 is 925bhp with a Maggie which is roughly 790.

Vengeance had a few that hit 840STD.

I’d say most are around 800 at my boost level. Why push it though, there no need.

The Maggie is a great blower, but all cars lose power when it’s hot. That’s All I was trying to Avoid. Driving around in 95F ambient air sucks and the power loss is easily felt. My 60-130 times also verify that.

Going from a 5.7s to 5.2 from 85F to 65F air is a big difference.

I’m sure I’ll be below 5s now if I can get traction.

Sounds like you just got a bone to pick with Andrew.

No it's good just my piece of crap eforce is better. The maggi folks have gotten quiet since I proved them wrong about power and iats.

Like I said nothing against you..

I'm running a 8.3 lower and 3 upper. At 1044 that's pretty efficient.

Lol honestly it’s probably better because of the port injection

It's really just splitting hairs at this point. Neither is better than the other. The Mag is easily more popular and most likely the blower that folks will go to. The Eddy is right up there with it. The Whipple is a little lower but can also make the same power. SO it really just depends on preference, which one has the better deal, and which one a person's shop/tuner pushes them towards. If one makes 815 and the other makes 850 then at those levels it really isn't much of a difference anyway.

And I have seen examples of 800+ on 93 with these blowers when doing heads, cam, catless LTs, and at 15+ boost. OP has cats and is making about 14-15 boost. And that got him to 815. Remove the cats and that alone should put him in the 850s.

FTR both setups are pushing a bit more power than me. I dynoed 745 on 93 but again that was in 6th gear which translates to about 770. I'm at 16# and they dynoed me it was without cats but I have cats now. Of course I do think there was a bit left on the table in my tune. But still, to make a good 40 RWHP more than me on less boost and thru cats is definitely a good setup. You honestly can't go wrong either way. And at some point it just becomes a meaningless numbers game anyway. Roll race a car making 800 against one making 850 and I doubt there would be much of a difference.

Is the heat soak such a problem that even a stock car (cat back exhaust ) would need one?
I get it depends on what you’re doing with it and the weather. I’m in MI so pretty mild climate and just street driving. Not a daily, sitting in traffic etc.

Heat soak is not much of an issue unless you're racing for extended periods of time in hot climates or if you're one of those in the ported blower camp. Myself and others with full builds and aftermarket blowers are going with chillers so that our IATs in the Summer will be like they are in the Winter. That way we won't lose timing and therefore, also lose HP and performance when it is hot outside. Also so that we can possibly add some timing in and get a little extra HP while also retaining HP. And there is always the chance of doing a racing event.

I think one of the biggest selling points of Magnuson over Edelbrock for a lot of people was the hood clearance. I know it was for me. It was definitely a tough decision which to buy. Trimming the hood isn't for everyone even though it may be considered minor trimming.
