The new ones are rated for 850hp per bank, so well see. As far as the black on the pipes, the tech put that on after they were welded. Why, im not exactly sure. Helps find a leak? He had some extra black paint? lol.

It burned completely off after 10 mins with no residue so i am assume it had something to do with the welding.
Yeah same reasons why I’m wanting to run cats myself. Oh I gotcha. That’s crazy. Hopefully these will do the trick for you.

That’s what I figured they were covering the welds.

Thanks for the replies

Definitely need some exhaust sound clips! Looks fantastic

First impressions, sounds even better then before. Less pinging sound from headers, slightly even deeper tone also. Seems like the csp/stainless works might be made a bit thicker. Clearance is great around plugs, motor mount and steering shaft.

Here’s some pics.

Any questions just let me know.
Looking good!
Those are the same Gesi Cores I used. 85200 vs 85230 with in-, and outlets.
I will check how mine hold up in the stock location in a few weeks.

Congrats brother, it's a very clean install, plus you can now sleep better knowing your cats aren't about to collapse on you

Sure ya. In middle of heatwave here so there’s no cold start… lol I literally started it this morning and intake temps were 101 and MAT was 117..

I’ll get some idle and revs and in car sound.

Out of curiosity, where is the wideband you used when tuning? I dont see it in your pictures.

Screws into the front o2 sensor ports in the headers.

It’s not permanent if that’s what your asking.

Yea I guess I was confused, how did they tune it with a wideband without removing the narrow bands if there is only one port pre-cat in collectors on each side?

I’m no expert tuner by any means but here’s my take. Narrow band only contains info on whether it’s rich or lean. Wideband is just what it sounds like, can read very lean to very rich. This is what’s needed to tune properly as your getting the actual AFR and not just data from the narrow band which is a lean/rich condition.

Correct. Narrow band is only accurate at 14.7:1 whereas the wideband can go like 8:1 to 17:1 and be accurate the entire range. Since you’re probably in the 12:1 range at WOT, you need the wideband to know if you’re on target.
