If I had a second car I'd probably get something like a 1969 GTO or 69 SS 396 or 427. Maybe even a 1970 Stingray.

I know they're not quite as fast but they're head turners everywhere you go.

Plus, I think there's a good chance that car will start to appreciate in value, rather than depreciate like everything else. Its value has been stable @ ~40k for years now.

Been seriously considering trading my 2ss for one... Am I crazy?
Had an '09 non Z06 C6 used. 12K miles and it creaked/rattled like a 70s pickup. Couldn't pay me to get a C6......cheap garbage. I'd take an LT1 over any C6 variant.

Probably would have stayed with the 5th gen 1LS I had.

Or get an older Z06. They still turn heads.
The market on c5z’s and c6z’s is up as well. I know because even though I choose a sixth gen over them I still look at them on market place every week because I wish I had one. I could be wrong but even the regular c6 is up as well. Not sure because I only look at Z cars.

Haha. I haven't spent much time in a C7, and none in a C8, but all the Vettes I had in the past were good and creaky. You get used to it.

Mach 1 is a waste of $ in my opinion, however the dealers around here have not marked it up. One local dealer still has one listed at MSRP sticker price 59k. I haven't seen a new Mach 1 down here driving around yet.

When I went car shopping with the price range I was in, it came down to a 2017-2018 ZL1 (with under 10k miles) or a 2015-2016 Z06 with around 30k miles. As I've stated before? I was 100% wanting a corvette b4 i turned 40 and was convinced id be getting the vette. But after the multiple test drives, the ZL1 I felt was a better car (or atleast, a better car for me). So if the zl1 was off the table, it would have been a z06 for sure... I just don't know how much I would have "enjoyed" it.

I have a '21 ZL1 so in this scenario I'd probably get a new Shelby GT500 if I could find one at msrp. If not that, then either a '20 GT350 or new '21 BMW M4 Competition (both with extended warranty!).

That said, I sold my 2018 Mustang GT PP1 A10 in April after I got my ZL1, so realistically, I would have just kept that GT - it was a lot of fun.

I need/want back seats. If I didn't need those, I'd get either a 2019 Z06 or a C8 Z51.

Funny enough, my second choice if I couldn't get a Camaro would have been a Blazer RS
