Add another one to the list. 2020 LT1 M6 built in January 2020. Riverside Blue car bought off the lot in July 2020. Curious how a hand built engine from the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green ends up in a Camaro ? You can imagine how excited I was when I pulled that fuel rail cover off this weekend !

It does appear that some LT1 and LT4's are being built at PBC. At first more than likely due to the pandemic and the conversion from C7 to C8.

If a PBC engine fails it is replaced with a engine from inventory and may or may not be a PBC, it is whatever is in the supply chain. They are all built to the exact same specification except one is built by 1 person a slower pace than the other.

It sounds like PBC is still building the manual trans LT1 and LT4's for the Camaro and the higher volume autos are at the regular plant.

IMHO as it stands now with the information I have received so far it appears that these hand assembled engines are being installed in the cars that have the track ready equipment installed. I have a 2019 corvette GS, the plaque is on that engine.

My car was ordered. No M6's OR LT1's were on the lot any where.

I checked mine (2021' 2SS 10SPD) and no plaque. Car was built 9/20/20.

Mine has the PBC plaque. Was an ordered 2021 SS 1LE M6 with build date of 10/15. Since it's not just 2020s, it must be more to do with LT1 + M6 as mjmenke suggests.
