Cool

I recently installed my ARH 2.0" primary headers without removing the starter, steering shaft or the motor mounts from underneath the car using a lift.

I probably should have changed the motor mounts as I probably will remove them to insulate the passenger side steel brake line that is stupid-close to one of the primary tubes. I did remove the aluminum subframe brace and dipstick tube.

I had no issues installing on jack stands... But I also swapped the motor mounts at the same time, which provides better clearance. A fun days labor for sure... with tons of smiles afterwards

Brother, I have paused my entire project purely to inform you of this miracle:

After 3 long weeks on jack stands and an absurd amount of agony (many walls damaged, car fell off the jack stand) I am pleased to inform you that I have JUST measured the clearance from skid plate to floor and I am looking at a STAGGERING 19.5 inches. No sketchy wood blocks piled to the sky, nothing. Just a jack and a hockey puck.

I just wanted to let you know. This is a big deal, I thought I was screwed. I managed to talk my way into borrowing some old fella's 3.5 ton jack (THREE tons??) and stands. I was expecting 15-16, so I'm happy.

Anyway, back to work. Your words stuck with me because I couldn't figure out how to get more height width out wood (and it fell off last time I did that with only one 2x4 I'm not in a hurry to repeat that).

Here we go. Havent even opened the hood yet and I've sunk 16 hours into this. Spent 5 hours just jacking it up.

I just put a set on mine and by removing the pass3nger side valve cover it goes right in from top without taking the motor mount off or loose. I had just put the hurst shifter in last week so headers were a walk the park compared to the shifter.
