That's not including dealer discount. Huntington Beach Dodge (1 hr from me) are selling Hellcats with that rebate plus massive dealer discount; $16K off MSRP. Challenger Hellcats are as low as $52K new.

Supply & Demand - Everyone that was going to buy a Hellcat regardless of price has already gone out and done so. So now you are in a market of buyers who would consider one, but Chrysler is competing with themselves as there are used ones out there to consider.

If they are willing to put a $7k discount on a $72k car, that means it is really only worth $65k in Chrysler's eyes. And if I was the guy who bought one at full list in July and then Chrysler announced this I would be PISSED.

I don't think Chrysler ever sold a car at full list price , they can have them , no matter how much advertising or discount i would never touch one .

Yes, but that also follows for every GM car. It's very easy to get a discount on GM vehicles. And if they've been on the lot a few months you can really hold the salesman to the fire. I got $10,000 (CAD) off my 2LT.
