The red 1le is nice, but I think it’s in Nashville.

Wow , Wasn’t meant to be?

I hope you and your wife are having a geat Friday. UNfortunately, the retail dept sold the SS, right after you left yesterday. I think their customer came in around 2:00ish or so. The car is still here, just because waiting for the tires to get here and mounted, but I understand that the other customer has already gone through the business office and paid for it. Would you be open to any other type of sports car, Mustang, Lexus, BMW,etc??

the Wright brothers discovered flight in 1903, and today it is a common mode of transportation.

lots of people fly to get the right car at the right price and enjoy a long drive home. other people purchase a car and have it transported to them.

No spirited driving but will check the tires regardless.
What they told me is that they saw the damage on the carfax and initial inspection shows no damage. When I test drive it, what while I watch for? Pulling to one side?
Why would the hood be repainted?
Thanks everyone.
Who?...Someone who buys the Camaro for his wife then they get divorced, then she trades in the Camaro for every womans dream car...a Toyota. That's who.

Funny
I’m on a tight budget. Very nice car though.

2016 2SS, manual - $30,800

2018 1SS, 1LE - $30,999 (the one you were looking at?)

2018 1SS, manual - $31,500 (8,800 miles)

That's what I could come up with on Autotrader nearby. I have no idea what you're actually looking for, but I assume at least the Super Sport and a 6-speed manual. I'd forgo the 1LE package unless you want to either drive somewhere to get it or have a dealer do a trade and bring it to you. The 1LE stuff can be added later for the most part, I wouldn't get too hung up on 6-piston brakes, recaro seats, and different wheels. Especially if you're on a tight budget. Those things can be added later, and to properly track a car costs hundred to thousands for fluid changes and tires.

Really hung up right now on 1le performance and looks, but I appreciate your search and the points you made.

If your budget is tight, the 1LE brings added expense of ownership. Tires are more expensive and don't really last a long time.. You need to check on service of the eLSD. If you plan to track the car, your costs go up, too. Insurance may be more expensive, as well.

Unless you are tracking the car, then the 1LE package may not hold much difference in performance over a SS. The other point is that the SS is very track worthy in its own right.

sounds like 31k is at the point where you are out of your budget. there are plenty of fun cars that can be had for less. camaro ownership is expensive due to insurance and depreciation; 1LE ownership is expensive because of tires.

you don't want to be one of those guys who spends too much and instead of having a car they enjoy, they have a car that adds stress to their life/finances.

The red 1le is selling for 31 but is in Nashville. One way flight is probably around $300 but I have a herniated disc in my back so wouldn’t be able to drive it back. Shipping it would be around $1000. I know it’s not going to be easy but I’m going to keep looking In the last few months I’ve seen 2-3 sell for 31 or less. One sold for 27 in Tempe az. Thank you for the advise. I appreciate it.

You're looking to get into a Camaro with a herniated disc? All the power to you.
