I took about 40lbs with AC system, keep in mind this is with removig the core and coolant when I took HVaC box out. With hvac box another 20-30lbs. I bought a jumper U hose at summitt when removing heater hoses. Then the hvac fan was another 10-15 lbs. however.... i have no defoger or air, its interesting lol I love it.

My battery is the braille https://www.tirerack.com/accessories...181215204353:s

Keep in mind I dont have eLSD, MR, PDR or any other electrical systems in my car. Hence not aure this battery work well for your car but for me it worked for an entire year and 10 track days no issues. I put trickle charger on it when car sits.

Carpet. Seats, headliner and bags are your heaviest parts. Do that then AC you can always do later.

I thought Turn Key in Lake Orion, MI, who builds the COPO drag cars, were fabbing up lightweight cross car braces / mounts for the stock I/P to bolt on. Might be worth a look into.

Understand on what you are using it for. Just threw that out there for weight savings ideas since you've got the car stripped for the cage install.

No panels. I'll still use door handle and lock switch.
I ordered carbon fiber doors but wouldn't be surprised if that takes 6 months!

The hood is aluminum, but the decklid is steel. CF one of those would save some, though, on the rear of course...

Can't wait to see it all done!
