I'm hoping so. He's actually street tuning as we speak. Should have the car back tonight. Just those drops in IAT's let's me know it's gonna run like a scolded dog once we drop into the 70's. I see easily a 100 hp gain once temps drop. So, if we can hit anything over 1000 in this 105 degree heat, I'll take it and run. Esp on pump gas. And we are still not all the way pulley'd down either so. But, with this heat, comes other issues so, I'm gonna stay out of it until temps drop. Matt said 2 motors came back blown this past few weeks from guys doing multiple pulls in 105 degree temps. Oil temps sky rockets, blew the motor. No cool down time in between pulls. So, I won't be doing any racing prob for another month. But, I will enjoy the new found HP. ; )

And that is problem with technology. Once upon a time you had to at minimum know how to read a plug to drive a high horsepower car. Now it is 1000x easier to have an 800+ hp car and many don't have the experience that power level requires. |
