305/30/20
315/30/20

If you had a ZL1 1LE and wider front wheels, then I'd say fine. But you have a 10" wheel and a car that was programmed not to work with that tire setup, plus you very well likely may have rubbing issues with the MRC.

The 315/30/20 rear tire is fine, you can't hurt it with that. But a 305 front is definitely not a good idea IMO. Like I said, just order the 285/30/20 R888R to match.
One question, for the ZL1, 315's on the rear, do you have to use a spacer?
Thanks

Negative, you will not have to run a spacer if you go with a 315/30/20. If you go with a 315/35/20 then that changes things, some have been fine running that size NT05R while others had to run a small spacer. But if you go with 315/30/20 then you'll be perfect.

I am not familiar with what you mean by using a spacer? I am assuming any reputable tire shop would know what to do BUT as long as no modifications are required using the 315/30/20. It sounds like if you go with the 35 profile that you do require some sort of modification and or it could rub? Do I have that right?

If you put too tall of a tire on the rear it will rub at the inner liner or fender and a small spacer is necessary to push the wheel/tire out a bit. Again, stick with the proper tire size and you'll not have any issues. 315/30/20. Thank me later.

So it’s not worth the extra width(girth)? I think you meant to say stick with the proper stock size 305/30/20 and yes of course I will not have any issues BUT it sounds like lots of folks have upgraded to the 315 without any issues?

As Can't stated:

315/30/20 is ok
315/35/20 could pose a problem

haha, he had MT Streets.

Btw, I ordered the Nitto Invo's. 315/35/20's. They rubbed like hell. I have no idea why, but they did. So, I went back to the 305 stock size but the Nitto Nt05. I went ahead and replaced the whole set. I only got 4500 miles out of the Goodyears.

Once I cam and do a 100 shot, I'll just bite the bullet and have an extra set of DR's for when I have races lined up.

Btw, 4 straight days of street racing and up till 3 am. I'm cooked. I can't do it anymore. haha. I'm done!!!!! Finished. Toast. Now, back to the real world so I can finish my build. Cam and a 100 shot and I'm done. Should put me in the 900 hp range. Enough for a daily driver.

All in all, was a good week. I played in my lane. Gapped a few Gixxer 1000's. Only lost once to that GT500. I can't count how many M4 and M3's I gapped. Other Mustangs, Camaros. You name it. It was all in the name of fun anyways. I'm proud of what the Zl1 can do.

All on a half bald set of Goodyears too. 40 mph roll. I'm spinning all the way up to 80-90mph. I went out hunting the next level cars last night, but they wouldn't run. Said, 800hp and up only. So, I had to go beat up on the little guys.

I had a call out from a guy in a G8. Said, he was going to...............bring the sauce. He no showed. Oh well. Till next year.

After all of the information we've been through, you ordered Invos??? And then tried an NT05???

And the reason they rubbed was because you went with a 315/35/20. You need a 30 aspect ratio, not 35 if you're going with a 315. Invos and NT05s are gimpy tires compared to what you need. You need an R888R or better, an Invo's lateral traction is a joke, as is an NT05 (Non R).

I was just about to post this...

I think they call people like this Askhole's...

The only thing good about Invo's is when they break loose in the turns you get a nice gentle slide. Oh and they are cheap because WHEN you burn them off, they are cheap to replace. MY 07 Z06 would spin em above 4000 in 2nd... That was only ~500wtq...at 80mph... SHIT tires.

Well, considering R888R's were not in stock and neither were the M/T's. The NT05 works just fine. Just did a wide open pull, not any spin whatsoever, which was what I was going for. Gimpy is hardly even close considering I just did a open pull with absolutely no spin and 100% grip. I'm digging them so far. Besides, I'll most likely burn through these in a few thousand miles and buy more tires. And one of the reasons I went that direction was because one of the GTR's over at D3 throwing down 2000 HP had them on their car. As a daily tire, so I figured they'd work just fine for my lower class Zl1.

I appreciate your opinions on my tires, but if anyone would like to try to test out my poorly decided upon tires, you are more than welcome for a call out. I was planning on staying in tonight, but since I seemed to choose the shittiest tire on the market, I'd suffice to say I'll have zero grip on a roll, so. This is the best time to call me out. You know, since I'll most likely be spinning. haha.

These tires are well above and beyond the Goodyears and it's not even close. But yea, would of been nice to get some R888R's in time. And I wasn't going to wait for them. And trying to find a M/T street was damn near impossible.

At least they don't look half bad.

Pardon my friends driveway. No way in my lifetime would I ever allow my driveway to crack like that. I mean, the nerve. Completely takes away from the Zl1.

Your car looks awesome with those wheels, the NGM and sidemarkers. 10/10.

Chill out though, nobody insulted your mother. I just do not see how an NT05 (NON R) is dead hooking for you at 305 @ 740 RWHP. I put them on multiple muscle cars and could blow them off easily. They're a great front tire in combination with the NT05R in the rear though. But hey if they're working for you then cool.

Have fun.

To be honest i just went through a pair of invos, had them on the front and used them for the track, i know all you want is for the tire to hook up for drag, but take it from me that in the cornering seen, the Good Years are WAAAAAAAAY better, i tried super late breaking, early braking all kind of braking and compared them to the Good Years, can't be compared no matter what! I ordered the R888R 315/30/20 for the rear and 285/30/20 for the front. Going to see how they compare to the Good Years on the track and move on forward from there, i just don't want to pay for MPSS at the moment.
