I had the same problem in June with the front seal blowing and I let my car sit until November. We had thought it was rings and did eventually confirm ring lands on destroyed two cylinders. I just put my engine back in last week, working slowly on putting everything else back together. :bonk

Pretty sure he was right at 11psi and 600whp with stock fuel system. 1LE has ZL1 in-tank.

That's exactly what happened to mine when the front seal blew out. Pistons broken on the ringland. Mine was about 650 whp on 11 pounds of turbo boost. I ordered a complete new forged motor from LME before the stock engine was out, not a cheap fix but should not have another engine problem.

Hey Brett,
Finally had a chance to go through your entire build thread. Took me every bit of 2 hours. good write ups and laughs.
However, there were only two posts regarding your catch can. no real identifiable routing of the hoses as to there end place. I think that's my real question.
We can talk off line if need be. I used to have a mishimoto prior to my supercharger install, but now there are others starting to gain traction such has mighty mouse and Elite (sp) I just need to know the routing of them.
Guess I'm confused as to the atmosphere vent and the actual catch can portion of it. And maybe I need to create another thread and not thread jack yours. apologize if I did.

Glad I could give you a laugh or two. I think most of the catch can stuff is on another thread. Pm me W/ Email, I have (4) pics that will at least help with your Elderblock.
(same fill tank location, and intake manifold fitting)
Now, of course, that wouldn't help Joe. A block of wood under the throttle pedal would probably be better...lol. But with all that is going on, I'm scared, REALLY.
Some run high HP (stock pistons, fuel system) no problem. Others lower HP and fail. BAD TUNES??? lean?? Seem a poll should be started for data.
Sorry Joe, JACKED your thread again...LOL

There are a lot of kits far better than Mishimoto out there.

I watch the forum with C7 vettes because they seem to be ahead of us. When I seen the trend there and Vengeance had a sale, I just bought forged pistons and swapped them before bad news struck me. The good news is, I have 8 easy life, lightly used stock pistons that I can sell to a guy in a pinch! Haha. Leannis typically an issue, but these pistons seem to be weak. If it was lean we would see issues on the crown, not the ring lands.... don’t you agree?

Lean can still break ring lands and not damage the piston surface. I can't explain it but I have seen it before. Actually I experienced it in gen 4 LT1 that I installed a Procharger on. I had Bryan Herter from PCM4less(popular tuner back in the early 2k) send me a tune which ended up being the wrong tune( for a NA setup). Popped a head gasket and broke #8 ring land. Piston was unscathed. Car still made 440whp on 7psi blowing the oil dip stick out of the tube.

We have posted in several threads, but for ANY boosted application, we really recommend our E2-X "Ultra" Catch Can system. It makes it virtually impossible to have crankcase pressure. We pull evacuation suction at all times on the crankcase, and our -8 or -10 CSS will never allow pressure to build even if a ring got pinched.

If you make a kit for my application (Maggie) I'll buy from you today. I don't want to piece it together find this part, to match that part and figure out what line goes where. Do you have this?
