The demon will never run mid 9s at the drop of a hat, sure hero runs will happen, but the car is a mid tens car for you and me. And it just makes sense. Not only does 840 HP and 4400 pounds make for a 10-11 second car, but Dodge had to create a miracle drag strip and mine shaft air to run what they did. I mean, what do 720 Rwhp Hellcats run? That’s right, not mid 9s, hell not high 9s. A trans brake and suspension ain’t enough either so save it.

Tesla wants a 50K deposit. I was at the Burbank dealer two days ago.

Just like every other time, the Tesla will exceed what was claimed. Expect 0-60 in the 1.5 second range. I have no idea what they'll do about the top speed limits. From what I've heard, it will be in the 260 MPH range.

For the price difference, you can mod the Camaro for less and be faster than the Tesla. Is the Tesla neat, yeah, but not the same price point. Based off the Chevy Performance test car, a few bolt ons and the Zl1 is a different animal.

Tesla is overpriced in the car market. Yea there are other cars in the same price range but it's a fractional percentage on the road. Its a luxury item that when the economy is good people buy. But when the economy takes a crap like it did ( and it will again) this is going to be bad for Tesla at their price point

Im not so sure about that because many of the folks that can buys those products to begin with arent hurt in the pocket as bad as the majority that are buying Chevys and Fords when the economy goes south. There are many supercar company's that have been around for a very long time through many ups and downs in the economy.
