Yeah, I don't so much mind people parking around me so much as I don't like my own anxiety and need to check for dings if somebody is within 50 feet of swinging distance. When I visit my dad and keep my car parallel parked outside for several days at a time outside of its usual garaged enclosure, all I can think about is somebody backing into it or rubbing against it, hearing a crunch, and going about their day without a care.

Don't feel bad, I just got a new fender where someone backed into my car. Had my only door ding and they fixed that for free. I had a few dings on rear bumper and paid $780 for a totally rear bumper fixed and painted. If you want your car looking good you have to fix your car and stay on top of it.
