Check for cameras in the parking lot pointing towards where you were parked. The police can ask the store for footage from the time you entered and left the store to determine what happened and if the perp is identifiable (hopefully tags are in view) then they can press charges/make them pay for it.

Update. Wal mart says the cameras aren't operable gonna have to fix it myself. It saddens me people get jealous enough to do something like this. Sometimes I wonder if only being 23 with a nice car like a camaro SS has anything to do with it. I know people.i work with give me snarky comments about it daily

For this very reason I never take my Camaro to walmart or the grocery store or any other shopping center.... I have a VW for that kind of driving..... the Camaro goes on twisty road day trips and track days and occasionally out to dinner..... never (far) out of my sight.

I have Thinkware F750 front and rear and just installed an F750 front only on my wife's car yesterday. The F770 is probably a better unit, but Best Buy had marked the F750 down to $147. They are back up to $247 now. Still a decent deal.

I know this is generalizing, shame on me for doing so and blah blah, but Walmarts are typically placed in low income areas where crime is higher and the odds of incidences like a hit and run are higher. I guarantee that Walmart has working cameras to cover their own butt for liability. They are just brushing you off because they probably get requests for their camera feed for every dumb altercation that breaks out in their parking lot, which I'll go on another limb by saying it's probably almost daily.

Unrelated, but my local Walmart has begun to shut down all but one checkout aisle except for the self checkout kiosks, and now there's now an armed guard at the door who checks your bag *regardless* of what you bought. An unarmed greeter used to do this, and only for out-of-bag items like soda cartons. This is seriously ghetto as f. I'll spend a couple bucks extra and take my business elsewhere.
