Wait, what? The oil is now supposed to be 0w-40 for all time use? I thought that was just for dry sump vettes.

I just changed the oil and put in 5w 30.

Is there a copy of the bulletin for Camaros somewhere?
Yes, it’s the new factory fill for the 19’ LT1 vettes, and the new recommended fill for ALL LT1/LT4 gm cars.

I believe the 19’ Camaro’s will also be using the New oil as a factory fill. The decision to change weights was not on a whim.

No concern.
When it begins to get warm, I.E. when summer kicks in, I would go ahead and change the oil to the W40 visco grade

Not Dexos2 rated.

I had good luck in my LS2 and LS3 using Mobil 1 5W40 turbo diesel, kept the sewing machine noise to a minimum, but it is not Dexos rated either.

Yes, it is.

Amazon has an old picture of the bottle, but it's got the cert.

Plus, the manual specifically states this oil is recommended for track use.

Cool.
That's all that matters.
I'm not a fan of the 0W, would rather have the 5W.
