Wife hates it. I can hardly convince her to go for a ride in it. She can't drive it because she refuses to learn stick. She doesn't like the harsh ride, or the way I drive it lol

My GF was surprised that one day I said, "let's go pick it up.". She complained on the way there but when she saw it in person, she absolutely loved it.

Harsh ride? Really? My 1SS vert rides better than my truck, about the same as wife's Mazda 3 or my M5, and rides better than the 3 series it is replacing in our stable.

being that wife has been spoiled with a C300, nothing will compare. Mine rides better, better handling, better mileage, but she will not budge from "Her" car.....why fight it...whatever. LOL
She actually thought my 1LT 2012 RS was a better car. Only because it had leather and a sunroof, this one doesn't. it was used and it came with it. nothing extra. but it doesn't compare to my new one on the track.

With all of the issues I've had, and the distance of the dealer, nope. Not at all. This car seems to be dead set on pushing me back into the "get me from point a to b" mindset when it comes to any vehicle.

My GF likes the car but is not a real car person. Like a lot of people on here cars are my passion and she knows that far to well. She complains every time I stomp on it and make a hard shift, but that just makes me laugh and want to do it again. In her defense she does get motion sickness. In her opinion, her Jeep Patriot with a CVT is the only car she wants. I cannot get her out of owning it! It's an '08 with 200,000 + Kms on it!

No, My wife could give two shits about anything i drive. As long as it has 4 seats which this car doesn't, i mean does and my 6yr old can fit... hence why i didn't get bitched at like if i would have brought home a Vette or any 2 seater for that matter. You guys are lucky your wife's or GF's you have enjoy riding in your cars.

My wife has no experience with car culture at all. She's been aware since we met that horsepower and hot cars were a big part of my younger years that I have been wanting to get back to. And after getting my Camaro, she's been a surprisingly good sport with it.

She knows how to drive manual, but it's literally been decades, and after one experimental trip to the local drive-thru, it's clear that we have a lot of practice ahead of us. I've emphasized how unforgiving the clutch is in the SS, so that she doesn't feel as bad when it stalls. And as a passenger, she's gotten great at anticipating my frequent, and often unannounced episodes of acceleration and putting her head back against the headrest so that it doesn't whip her neck back.

We are driving to Texas at the end of the month, I figure we can get her some practice on the long, empty straights of interstate highway out west.

My wife, resented me trading in my 08 Mustang that paid off & was cherry for my 2013 LT convertible. She didn't like double car payments, like one at a time we were doing last 20 years. But a car guy or gal knows, ya gotta pounce. Since then she's warmed up to it & likes the top down factor, who wouldn't?
