Mine moans for the first 4-5 turns very loudly. Then it seems to go away. It's going in tomorrow for the oil cooler line recall, DEAD battery, and an oil change. If I hear anything about a service bulletin, I'll have them printed it out and I will definitely share the information as soon as I get it.

When it was cold a couple weeks ago, there was a whump whump whump when doing the first couple low speed turns. Seems like the differential was locked and there was no "limited slip".
Probably needs a slightly thinner gear oil back there. Since it only gets below 40 for about 3 days per year, I wasn't able to get it in to the dealer to demonstrate. If it gets cold enough again for a couple days, I'll probably leave it up there one night and then go there in frigid morning to let them here it fresh. |

Extremely irritating that chevy has yet to address this problem. Clearly a massive problem across the board. I want to start modding my car but cant until im sure my rear is ok. I had the first one replaced completely and this one is already complaining on turns. GM must be eating their profits doing these replacements. I wish there was an aftermarket dif for our cars I would be tempted to buy it to get rid of this crap rear end.

I spoke to GM corporate today regarding my issues and breach of warranty. I referenced these forums and threads and how it's a problem all around with dealers. I told them hopefully the outcome can help others here. We will see. I don't have high hopes though. |

I took my 2016 2SS in for this issue(amoungst others)today and gave them service bulletin notice number 2866407 to have it checked out. Hopefully this resolves it, and I will make sure to update you when I get it back.

Got my car back today and seems to be doing alright. Then again, it is a bit warmer out then before. They swapped out the fluid. I'll update you guys if there are updates. That service bulletin notice number seems to work if your dealership has a hard time finding it.

Oh I know. That's the 4 th I've been to. The 1st that finally looked at the car at least. I've filed with BBB. I'm sick of it. Neither the Camaro or truck will ever go back to a dealership again. Wonder what damage is being done while we drive with these issues. Mines also for some reason not holding an alignment, and found out I had a bent rim. Though, the dealership told me Monday they looked at my wheels and tires, I later learned my front right wheel is bent, and my rear left tire is already at 3/32 tread. I've only ever done 1 burn out and that was short then. So normal tire wear out is at 12k mikes? Alignment goes out in 1 month? This last one did another alignment (3 in 3 mo) and finally fixed my outside air temp sensor (only took 6 tries).

The dealer put the wrong fluid in my car which caused it to start groaning. See my thread here:
http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480942 They claim the computer told them to use the wrong fluid. Switching the fluid out for the correct fluid and lsd additive seems to have corrected the issue. Has anyone with the groan replaced the fluid with the synthetic gear oil and additive and had it resolved? |

The fourth dealer I've been to is replacing the clutch pack in the rear end today, acknowledging the issue. I will keep everyone updated on the outcome.
