Awesome man, congrats. Glad you made up your mind. Now we can go S/C to S/C next season.

So I didn't think you were doing the SC, I thought it was just NA all the way.

I have had a brand new LT4 blower with a Maggi HX on the shelf for a couple months. I really had no plans to stay N/A but after I started getting good results with my porting and seeing what you guys were running I got the bug. Now I want 10.99 with just a couple boltons and then I will move on to the blower and shoot for 9.99.

Congrats homie !!!!

I was biting my tongue when you were flip flopping on what route to choose and the costs of each. I've been down both roads (na vs sc) and the upfront cost of a supercharger is more, but you find going the NA route that it nickel and dimes you without even knowing it, and you end up spending equal or more money at the end or your venture.

Disclaimer; I'll admit it is much sexier running natural then force fed but ya gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Buy the 6lb boost unit and run 11.0's allll day, I've been put on a self induced budget but the impulse to buy one also is killing me !!!!! You made the right choice and I look forward to your results

I just didn't want to effect the way the car drives and I didn't really want to increase the sound of the car either. This car is so refined now that I just couldn't do the normal H/C/I/E like I have done to every other car I have ever owned. They end up fast but at a sacrifice in the end. Like Snow said, is it cooler to be crazy fast on motor, hell yes, but at what cost. Suck up the initial investment and the maintenance of winter to summer power and I think you will be happier in the end. That is my plan anyway. Blower and meth should take care of it.

^^^^^ I'm still really torn between the Lt4 unit and the Maggie so I will restrain myself and probably stick with the e85 route (I hope) and watch intently on both of your builds.

I had a SC G8GT and loved it and many other killa rides including my 9 second 68 nova drag car small block (NA), the G8 was just too heavy. . This car just takes so little to make it really bad ass. I'm almost 65 and this will probably be my last wicked ride and I've had many. My wife already knows that I can't stop once I get started, so I'm gonna have as much fun as my money allows. So lets have some fun and hold on tight.

Just get the Maggi if you have the means. I walked into the deal of a life time and happened to be able to take advantage of the situation is the only reason I have the LT4. But getting the rest of the stuff together I have still spent a ton on it. I only have aspirations of 600rw for a while so I am good. To go above that it gets real expensive. I do like how hard the LT4 hits and will support 750rw if done right. There is no way I would recommend the LT4 option to someone at full price. Even at my price it would have been over a Maggi. I can't imagine if you paid retail for this stuff.

I have the means, I've been talking to Mike (toohighpsi) and I'm going to start out with either AEM or Snow Performance Meth/Alky injection. I want to must make around 550 at the wheels which should put me into the 10.80s@128 or so. Mike was running 10.80's with stock wheels and drag radials which we all know is 100 lbs heavier then my set up so I'm expecting better then 10.80's but don't want to count my chickens before they hatch. I do drive mine a few days a week so nothing radical for me. I would like the e85 but don't know if I want to change the pump to an lt4 while I'm doing the SC install. Although I do agree with 1ss that would be the time to do it, but they are pretty expensive, like 700 bucks. So, the SC will be here by the end of next week so I still have a little time to decide my route. I just bought the non intercooled kit with no tune. I have hp tuners so I'll work from there after I update the hp tuners since its not been done since my LS days.

Nice man, can't wait to see what kind of numbers you're going to get. As much as I love being N/A there's only so much you can do to get HP without messing with the cam. With regards to drive ability and durability, supercharger beats heavily cammed cars.

If I am not mistaken toohighpsi was running 8.5 lbs of boost and 100 octane to achieve his 10.8.

If you are only going to run the 6lb pulley then why run meth on your intercooled unit ?
