My signature picture tells all. I loved then on my C5, for a whole bunch of reasons including getting in and out in my 1 car garage. I've received more ya's then nay's at most of the shows I've been at. I appreciate that everyone has a thought about them, both pro and con.The cars we drive are an extension of our selves and I would hope that everyone can appreciate that or not. Oh I am not added them to my C6

I can see a benefit for tight spots, especially when the better kits still allow for normal opening and vertical is an option at the first lock. But on the 6th gen, the first lock is farther out and wouldn't be good for a vertical kit if your purpose was tight ingress and egress.

I'm thinking about getting them, always liked the look as a kid.
Other reason with my 6'2"height and 13W big feet, pain trying not to have my left foot hit/scuff the door panel or paint below the door sill getting in and out. Since the door is lifted up, it will allows more room at the front of the lower part of the door to for the feet to get out and in with less worry or hitting either part. |
