Oh boy. What is it with these things?

Mine started having a few more symptoms yesterday. AC controls showed up on Mylink screen for no reason, and then it disconnected and reconnected to my phone.

This acts very much like a virus where symptoms progressively get worse. I wish mine would just go out altogether so they'd actually fix something instead of flashing software and disconnecting the battery. This issue has really soured my opinion of this car. If this had happened a year or two in, no biggie but only having it 6 weeks really takes the excitement out.

You're preaching to the choir Speedy. Had the car 3 days, drove off the lot with 9 miles and now have 250. Already went out on me.

After the last FW update on mine, the AA update, it has made things not function correctly with MY Link for me. I have so many issues playing music from my phone now via BT, have to open up the Music app on my phone to force it to start, screen just does nothing when I select Media and hit browse or try hitting next on the screen or hard buttons. Phone calls via BT never understand my commands now, worked perfectly with the last FW that came with the car. For me so far it is a software/FW issue, no new FW right now which stinks. GM needs to get on the horn and get another update out soon!

I just want mine at least turned on. I can deal without phone music until they get a solid update, but I'd like to at least be able to control my NPP and at the very least see my clock and temperature.

Don't be so sure LOL When mine's acting up it cycles through all the menus and changes things all on it's own rapid fire style. I have to turn it off to make it stop.

Got my update today. Everything went fine, haven't had time to poke yet to check any changes. Had both my cams going, that was more interesting to me then anything. NEVER taking my car for warranty work again. Wouldn't have this time if GM released an update that I could do myself. Bunch of ham-fisted ****tards, dragging the battery tender cables across my fender, nasty, greasy finger prints inside and out. NOPE, never, ever again.

So on Sunday my MyLink display stopped working. It had happened once before but spontaneously came back on. This time it did not. Everything works including the radio. Even the touch screen works I just can't see it...lol. Read the forums and found many others were having the issue. Rather than to try resetting by disconnecting the battery I took it to the dealer today since I already had an appointment for service. The service advisor said he had seen it on a few cars before including vettes, malibus, etc.. He said in all instances the software update would fix it per the Chevy service bulletins. He did say one car needed a new wiring harness of some type. I will keep you posted after I hear back. I just want my display back.

So thought I read in another thread the common denominator maybe the car idling for longer than 3 or 4 mins. Sunday I had my car idling for about 5 mins while my uncle looked the car over. I then stop at Walmart for few mins and when I crank the car myLink would not display (radio also did not start auto playing like usual). I shut it off to get some food and about 25mins later it's working fine. I'm now looking to see if I can repeat the behavior. It's as if myLink is in sleep mode then wakes up on the next start if more than 10 mins or so has passed.

^^ Interesting.

Well, I'm almost 3 weeks and several hundred miles and no problems. I thought the dealer was full of poo when they said a battery disconnect was required for the update to complete it's flash, but maybe. If it goes 4-6 weeks without a problem I'll have confidence in it.

They didn't have to disconnect my battery for the mylink update. The opposite actually, hooked it up to a tender to keep it from draining during the update process. I watched the whole time and had my cams running, so there is no way they disconnected.

Does your dealer have brown eyes? Cause it sounds like he's full of shit.
