I've had a sunroof on my my 2007 Impala SS and my 2011 Camaro 2LT. I ordered it without to save cost and because I like the more aggressive reverse mohawk look in this gen than last gen. I might miss it, but I'll get over it. I just don't actually open it enough to need one in my vehicle. Plus going anywhere out of town is driving on 65mph roads making it too noisy to leave open. Also with winter being 6 months out of the year, that was another deciding factor lol.

Its not quite a reverse mohawk, but the center stripe kit gives you some of that look even with the sunroof...

When I finally get one, it'll be no sunroof for me. The reverse mohawk (even the minor one on the 5th gen) is one of my favourite lines on the car. This time it looks even better. Personally, the sunroof ruins the car.
To those that enjoy it though, that's awesome. |

I have a sunroof on my 2000 Ford Explorer and never had any leaking issues. As far as the Camaro goes, I prefer no sun roof due to the look and $900 savings. Weight savings are just a plus.

Funny. I thought the same thing. I sat in a 2lt RS with sunroof and felt terrified about the head room until I adjusted the seat all the way down (thankfully). I will for sure get the sunroof but I'm in SoCal and all of my recent rides have had one and no way will I pass it up here. Now the 40lb part. I also felt a bit snug in the driver seat so I'm also on a diet and will try again when more ss's are around where I can test drive.

same without my sunroof. I never open mine but it makes my IO interior POP during the day. Car just wouldn't be as much fun or the same without it.

Agreed, I think the sunroof adds brightness to the interior. I plan on getting a sunroof to use it quite a bit.

I think unless you are going to seriously track the car often you will NEVER notice the performance difference with or without a sunroof on the street. The sunroof makes the interior feel less confining and the open air is great on a cruise. I had hoped the CA6 visibility would be more like the Mustang, but it did not change much. So to me the sunroof is a big plus to make the car interior feel less oppressive.
In my current Camaro I went without a sunroof because I saw what happens when you roll a sunroof car. Next time I will get one if the car I choose has the option. I miss it. If you are on the fence get it.

After finally seeing both roof lines in person yesterday I'm still torn. I REALLY like the profile of the Mohawk, but the sunroof didn't distort the lines very much at all and the gf would love it on a pretty day. No concern over roof height now that I've sat in both. Decisions decisions... Good problem to have haha.
