I'm with the OP, I like both and have owned both Ford and Chevy's both good and bad. If it's a good car, a fun car, and an affordable car, it's got my attention.

kidding aside....I always felt ford guys hated Chevy more than the other way around. when I see new mustangs I appreciate them. but...they were just not very interesting looking cars for 25 or 30 years.

its always been a friendly rivalry for me. a few of my buddies in high school had stangs and my other buddies and i had f-bodies. we'd race each other and talk shit but it was joingly. i have wanted a clean 5.0 fox body for a long time...but they're hard to find.

its the people that take it to seriously that kill it for everyone.

like baseball...i am a Yankee fan all the way, but when the red sox finally won the world series i took my girlfriend the the time (who is a die hard red sox fan) to boston for the parade. because im a baseball fan. and thats how it should be with cars...we all talk shit but at the end of the day we are all gear heads...people just need to learn to respect what the other guys bring to the table.

I don't "hate" Fords... I just don't have any use for them. I own the best looking and one of the best performing "muscle cars" made today, so Fords don't interest me at all. The only Ford I have owned was a '96 F-150 and it was a gas-hogging piece of crap. Got rid of it after four months of ownership and got a new Ram 1500. I've been a Ram man ever since, when it comes to pick ups. Once was enough for me as far as Ford ownership.

From my experience with the local Camaro club, its blind allegiance. We have some that post a lot of crap against Fords and insults the owners, even the one Mustang owner that did more for the Camaro club than majority of the Camaro owners do.

I like how at the drag strip there really is no crap talking because you have to nut up or shut up.

the strip/track is the equalizer. and i notice that a lot of people are really cool at the strip. i was BS'ing with a dude that had a new 5.0 for about 30 minutes in the lanes the last time i was there. cool guy, loves his stang just like i love my SS.
