If your going to play you are going to pay. I know in Pa they would throw the book at you for that much over.

Oh and for all you do gooders that are running the man down, I bet there isn't one of you that haven't tested your machines out at one time or another. The only difference is he caught got.

Ok people. I know what i did was wrong. I have taken performance drivin classes before. But that still does not give me the right to speed. But put yourself in my shoes. If you have bills to pay and you cant lose your job because you cant afford to go one day unemployed, what would you do? And to people belittleing me because of where i work, thats your opinion, just dont think your the shit because there is always someone doing better than you. If i did work at mcdonalds, whats it to you, you eat there so obviously you dont really care. And i am a used car salesman. Everyone has their opinion on one, but dont jump to conclusion because you dont know anything about me. I never speed but i just cant lose my job, that does not make me a bad person.

Keep in mind that you are forced to sign the ticket. The police officer can say anything he wants on the ticket, and you dont have a choice. By signing it, its not an admission of guilt in most places..

Yes, i just read the back of the paper, it says that signing it is not an admission of guilt, just that i acknowledge that he pulled me over, and that i need to go to court. I will have to talk to the judge or whoever i need to speak with at the courthouse and tell them my situation.

I understand how you feel, but the LEO, Judge and DMV don't care if you lose your job because you don't have a license.

They don't care about your "situation".
They see it as you did something really stupid, that could have killed someone.

I really don't see how you can get out of losing your license even if you have a lawyer, 95 mph on a snowy wet road is going to be almost impossible to beat, but before you over react, talk to a lawyer.

Do you have anything else on your driving record? (moving violations)

Please keep us posted.

One of the first things they teach you in performance driving schools is know the conditions of the track and be safe with your actions. This way you know you are in control. You broke the first rule and got caught - luckily by a police officer and not the guardrail or some mom driving the kids to school or some other hapless person just trying to make it through the day. You were in a 4000 pound missle on wet roads in medium traffic with snow falling. The fact that you only killed your license is amazing. I am suprised that he did not tow you on the spot to be honest.

Now, on the issue of your job, I agree with you - people should not mock you for what you do for a living. I do what I have to to make money...and I don't put anyone down for an honest days work. People should not mock you for selling cars. Not cool folks.

Being late for your job would not be reason enough to do what you did. I doubt people would be upset with you as it was snowing this AM and traffic was moderately heavy because of it. I doubt anyone was chomping at the bit to buy a used car at 8:01 AM on a snowy Monday in Albuquerque anyway.

Lets say it takes 10 miles to get to work. 65 x 10= 650 = 10.8 minutes 95 x 10= 950 = 15 Minutes. And that's no stopping or anything. Don't think its worth it.
