To accommodate and optimize on the less restrictive exhaust of the C8 is what GM says. Does it have anything to do with dealing with the head ports better? Maybe?

What's the advantage of the LT2 intake over the LT1??

LT2 intake runners are even length vs. uneven length on the LT1. Also, LT1 intake stops making power over 6000rpm...LT2 intake so far can make power to 7000rpm+ and when ported will perform within a couple of HP to a box stock $1200 MSD intake.

Super cool!! Me too. I was thinking of trying to fit the stock Lt1 cover. Looks good in there. It won't fool the dealer though.
