Anyone try this stuff?
BG is supposed to be top notch material, especially for such LSD and other gear applications. Have a look: https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/drive.../#bg-product-1 Another option, is to get the LS/D concentrate MGC separately and mix with P/N 750 https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/drive.../#bg-product-7 + This: https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/drive.../#bg-product-6 |

Would you guys recommend changing the diff fluid as an essential item at 1500 miles? Dealership down here in HI is saying that it's only a 100k service item and is questioning why I would want it done.

I changed mine at 1500 miles (super dirty!) and just did it again at 3,500 miles and it was filthy again (5 track days within that time also).

Thanks for the advice.
Feeling like that the Dealership Service Dept I am working with is somewhat on the price gouging side -- they are asking $375 for the diff fluid change -- from the description of the job itself, that seems a bit on the high side. |

Yep do it yourself. I had a look under the car last week, everything is easily accessible. I will be doing mine this weekend.

Not a 1LE but you want to be on flat ground when doing this so this is how I decided to do it. I used the slope of my driveway and ramps to level it so I could get under. Like others said, it's about as easy as it gets.
Also, I got the fluid from a GM parts department for much cheaper than Amazon. See if they'll give you wholesale pricing. |

How often is everyone doing transmission fluid?
I plan on doing a track day or 3 right after my 1500 mi, so I was going to do oil and diff, but maybe tranny as well if its required? |
