I would beg to differ. I'm in the market and every single one on GM's locator is in transit and a sold order. If there is one in dealer stock it's waiting for someone to spring the 7.5K over window they are asking. Even a 2-3 year old one is going for close to sticker or over. These are the exception, every other camaro has come down siginificantly from prices just a couple months ago especially SS 1LE's. Just been my experience.

I provided you a link where they show up regularly for sale. The pricing has fallen on the ZL1 1LE too over the last few months.

Did not see link, but i do track them on AT and CARS.COM as well as actually contacting dealers directly. I agree they are starting to drop as well, just not at the rate of other models. Dealers are sitting on them longer and i get EM's when they reduce price. I think people know these are the last of the era and who knows if GM will keep building them with all the constraints that don't appear to be getting any better.

When I was looking in August 2022 that was the case also.

I got lucky with a ZLE that was just listed in transit and going to NJ.
It was dealer ordered/unclaimed.

They haven't gotten another allocation since.

I ordered a ZL1 1LE on 11-27-21 from a local dealer to me that owns 80 dealerships so I thought at some point we would get an allocation in 22. It never happened and they gave me the option to change to a non 1LE after they rolled my 22 into a 23 in summer of 22 but I declined it and decided to wait. Few months ago I started calling dealers that had them and they were ordered after my roll so I decided to start looking for unsold cars. As of today 1-8 I have found one but am negotiating on price because they are trying to get 5k over sticker and get me for almost 2 G's in ridiculous fees. Hopefully this week we strike a deal and I will be the first time owner of a ZL1 1LE when it gets delivered to them. Its "in transit" which I assume means its built but waiting for delivery.

Are you doing the maximum 2000 miles search from your zipcode on Chevy's website? That's how I was able to find my ZLE eventually. I started out with just a 500 miles radius and got nothing for months, but when I went wider, got more availability. Also, do you have to have certain color or options? I'm flexible on all options except for the 10 speed auto, so it got easier for me.

2000 Mi search. If anyone is referencing how they happened to find one in dealer stock i'm willing to bet that was months back. These have been on/off constraint for many months and when they are produced they are filling sold orders first. And of those that are built a few are bottled up in Lansing waiting on parts and or a driver to deliver it. These are unobtanium, dealers know it. I think they are on constraint till at least spring. On a positive note i got a call back from one of the nearly two dozen dealers i em'ed telling me the car i was interested in ( GM lists sold units in transit to respective dealers) was of course a sold unit a customer orderd nearly a year ago. He then told me he had one allocation left for a ZL1 and he could build me the car i wanted with a 3-4 month delivery, for window sticker. I shot him the build spec so will see waht happens, worst thing is i could get the exact car i wanted at a fair price.

He might have a Zl1 allocation but I highly doubt it’s a ZLE allocation.

This thread is pretty solid proof the lengths people are going to just to find a ZLE at sticker. They're gonna hold value and anybody who gets the itch for one is going to pay, simply because there are not that many around.

The cars are out there, but good luck finding one. I relented and bought a Chevy Certified Pre Owned car and shipped it in after 5 months of shitty dealers and people asking MSRP for used ones. I'm happy with it, but this is the world we are living in now. Unless you want some egg shaped 4.5 door thing with half a battery and 15" wheels, you're gonna have to pay up or play the waiting game.

I was unable to find a dealer that would sell a new ZLE at sticker or anything less than 5K over. Also, unable to find one that would honor GMS pricing. Ended up finding a 2021 with 6000 miles for 71K. Roughly 10% off MSRP. I felt like that was a fair price for a very well cared for ZLE. It’s also CPO so B2B warranty through 2025 and 48K miles.

In conclusion, the ZLE is simply a cooler car.

LOL, ‘more rare’ and could lead to some hedge against depreciation. All cars (almost) depreciate, however, this one may have a decelerated table.
