I'm interested in seeing how the PTr manifold fits when one of ya'll gets it. It's a safe bet an aftermarket hood or cutout are needed, but I want to see how it fits at the cowel and if cutting is necessary like the hiram. I saw one on a 5th gen and it seems to fit decently on them.

edit: if only btr shipped race star wheels. ordered those mugs in january. sigh.

got some pics for those interested. it'll definitely fit under a stock hood. the other intake manifold pictured is an LT2.
LT2 - 12 lb btr - 23.2 lb looks like map is in the bottom and it'll require similar brake booster attention as the LT2. id say btr is def gonna be soft low-mid range on a stock cube motor (na). says 102mm tb opening.

Dang it even sits a little lower than the Lt2. I was thinking it would've been at least the same size as the Lt2 or just a tad bigger.

I really like that manifold and its price. The RPM is 6500-8000. thats a bit outta my window but would work
So the map is on the bottom. EGR on the passenger side will need an adapter to work with the 1/4 npt? the driver side has a 1/4 npt port too for boost/vac source? the rear has two 3/8 npt holes for ?intake air temp sensor? and brake booster? whats the two small threaded holes for in the rear? maybe the bottom hole with the threads under it is for the egr? This would be awesome for direct port meth, or ditch the meth all together and run port injection.

Yeah we got lumped in with the c7 guys like msd
I just wonder how this would work on a bolt on car with that rpm window

i should be able to shine some light on that question in a couple weeks. at least with regard to a power band.

the holes in the back
top - threaded (brake booster?) middle - not threaded bottom 2 - threaded there are also threaded holes on either side of the tb flange, about where the egr is in the stock style manifolds.

i'm debating about getting this btr intake now for my boosted application and swapping out the ported MSD, any thoughts if its worth it? i'm on low boost right now at 13psi about to turn up to around 17-18, i definitely don't redline at 8k but i'm at 7000 or 7200 if i remember correctly.

I messaged them about it compared to my ported msd. They said gains would probobly be seen only from 7400+. I’ll wait for dyno results but seems like the high ram is what I’m going with.

ah ok, that RPM is max for spinning the procharger so i'll have to pass this up then.

You have to keep in mind an intake manifold for NA application and boost application will differ. All of these manifolds will work for boost just fine, but the super short runner length may not shine in NA testing.
I am looking forward to some comparison testing, but I don't think we will see any for awhile as some of these manifold are really hard to get your hands on right now. I went with a 105 Hi-Ram with port injection because it was the best option a few months ago, curious to see if these new manifolds outperform it when they come to market and get tested.
